DRAFTKINGS NFL DFS CASH PLAYS WEEK 14 2022

DRAFTKINGS DFS CASH PICKS - WEEK 14
QUARTERBACK
TOP PLAY
Joe Burrow, CIN ($7000)
Fantasy’s overall QB4 is a value as the sixth highest priced QB on the slate. Burrow has six weeks with a top-six finish, and three as the overall QB1. The Bengals once again rank in the top five in passing attempts per game, and Burrow has all of his weapons back. The matchup isn’t screaming upside (CLE allows the 11th fewest FPPG to QBs), but Burrow is an elite option at an average price tag.
Other options - Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts
Mid-tier options - Geno Smith, Kirk Cousins
VALUE PLAY
Tyler Huntley, BAL ($5500)
This is basically getting Lamar Jackson-lite at $5500, which is cash gold. Huntley is way more TO-prone than Lamar, but the rushing floor is often the same. Last year in relief of Jackson, Huntley averaged 56.8 rushing YPG and put up a 10/41/1 line last week in the win over Denver. This week’s matchup against PIT is much softer, so Huntley should be at the top of your QB pool for cash.
Other options - Trevor Lawrence, Jared Goff
RUNNING BACK
TOP PLAY
Derrick Henry, TEN ($7900)
There’s no easy way to say it - Henry has been BAD the past month. Over the last four games, he’s averaging a very un-Henry like 2.8 YPC with only one TD and nine catches in that span. That said, his price is down to $7900, which is as low as we’ll see for a back like Henry. With Treylon Burks’ status in doubt, I really think we see a 30-carry day for Henry in a game Tennessee is going to want to win, and Jacksonville has allowed the tenth most FPPG to opposing RBs.
Other options - Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Dalvin Cook
Mid-tier options - Joe Mixon/Samaje Perine, Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott, Travis Etienne
VALUE PLAY
D’Andre Swift, DET ($5800)
Eric Romoff and I were all over Swift last week as a sneaky tournament play on the Diehards DFS show, and he delivered big time with a 14-62-1 line, adding four catches for 49 more yards. The big takeaway is that Swift out-carried Jamaal Williams (14-11) and came into the game with no injury designation. Even if Williams regains the hold on the rushing share, Swift still has 14 targets over the past two games. Additionally, the Vikings have allowed the seventh most receptions to opposing RBs.
Other options - D’Onta Foreman, Latavius Murray, James Cook
WIDE RECEIVER
TOP PLAY
Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET ($7800)
I have Amon-Ra and Justin Jefferson basically neck-and-neck for the top overall WR of the week, and ASRB’s $1200 price discount gets him the spot in the article. Over the past six games, Amon-Ra St. Brown has averaged 10 targets per game and is the overall WR3 in PPR formats (20.5 DK PPG). Jefferson is a wonderful player. However, there is no way ARSB should be $1200 cheaper, especially against the Vikings, who have given up the fifth-highest YPT and the third-most FPPG to opposing WRs.
Other options - Justin Jefferson, Stefon Diggs (beware Sauce), Ja’Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb
Mid-tier options - Tee Higgins, Tyler Lockett, Amari Cooper, Deebo Samuel
VALUE PLAY
Nico Collins, HOU ($4400)
Neither Collins nor Brandin Cooks have practiced yet this week, so their statuses are important in a game where the Texans are already coming in as 17-point underdogs to Dallas. If Collins goes, he’s a fine value play in a game where Houston will have to throw a lot, as he’s received 36 targets over the last four games. If Collins goes and Cooks doesn’t, it’s an even better play.
Other options - Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Gabe Davis, Adam Thielen, Kendall Hinton
TIGHT END
TOP PLAY
Travis Kelce, KC ($7600)
He’s at least two tiers above the next TE in FPPG, and he’s underpriced. If you have the funds, there’s no downside here.
Other options - Mark Andrews
Mid-tier options - TJ Hockenson, Pat Freiermuth
VALUE PLAY
Greg Dulcich, DEN ($3400)
If ownership swings the way of Chig Okonkwo, I’ll pivot to him at $2700. Right now Dulcich is the cheap chalk, so he’ll be our cash play. Courtland Sutton is out, and Denver should theoretically be throwing a lot in a game of catch-up against the Chiefs. Dulcich had eight targets last week and averaged 14.2 YPC.
Other options - Chig Okonkwo, Austin Hooper
TOP FIVE DEFENSES FOR CASH
Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($2900)
Dallas Cowboys ($3800)
Carolina Panthers ($2200)
Pittsburgh Steelers ($2800)
San Francisco 49ers ($3200)
