DRAFTKINGS DFS WEEK 12 CASH GAME PICKS

QUARTERBACK

TOP PLAY

Jalen Hurts, PHI ($8300)

This Eagles-Bills tilt is the premier game to DFS purposes this week, and Hurts arguably has the highest floor-ceiling combo of any quarterback in football. On paper the Bills have allowed the fourth fewest FPPG to opposing QBs, but their defense is just decimated by injury now. Philadelphia (in my eyes) really showcased themselves as THE team to beat in the NFL, and they could back that fact with a win over the Bills as well. If you can find the value at other spots, Hurts is worth paying for in cash.

Other options - Josh Allen

Mid-tier options - Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray

VALUE PLAY

Gardner Minshew, IND ($5100)

Gardner Minshew has absolutely bottomed out in the past two games but so has his price tag. He’s sitting at $5,100, which is almost “backup QB” pricing, and gets arguably one of the best matchups you can ask for. The Colts face off against the pass-funnel Buccaneers, who have allowed the second-highest YPA and the third-most Fantasy Points Per Game (FPPG) to opposing QBs. Tampa Bay just allowed Brock Purdy to achieve the first 49ers perfect passer rating since Joe Montana and also gave up C.J. Stroud‘s epic 470-yard, five-TD game in Week 9.

Other options - Baker Mayfield

RUNNING BACK

TOP PLAY

Jonathan Taylor, IND ($6900)

It’s tough matchup on paper as the Bucs have allowed the second fewest FPPG to opposing RBs, but Taylor is a 100% lock in cash games this week anyway. Zack Moss has been almost completely fazed out of this running game, as Taylor has 81 touches over the last four weeks. He is beyond too cheap at this price tag with his talent and expected volume, and the Bucs are also potentially going to be without Devin White and Lavonte David.

Other options - Alvin Kamara, Travis Etienne

Mid-tier options - Derrick Henry, Isaiah Pacheco, Rachaad White

VALUE PLAY

Rachaad White, TB ($6100)

I’m not sure what Rachaad White has to do to see his price tag increase. Over the past five weeks, he’s finished as:
RB16
RB11
RB1
RB12
RB13

He also gets a pace-up matchup against the Colts and is one of few true bell-cow backs left in the NFL. White has logged over an 80% snap share in four straight weeks now and has 21 targets in that span. The Colts allow the fourth-most FPPG to opposing RBs. I’m often not a proponent of rostering opposing RBs in the same DFS lineup, but I think this particular game warrants it.

Other options - James Conner, Rhamondre Stevenson, Javonte Williams

WIDE RECEIVER

TOP PLAY

A.J. Brown, PHI ($9000)
After getting only four targets in the Eagles’ last game against KC, I expect he will be force-fed the ball this week in a matchup that’s much more friendly for WRs. Brown was seen barking on the sidelines to Jalen Hurts in that game, so there’s often a “remedy” to that in the game plan for the following week. The Bills have allowed the seventh highest YPC over the last four games.

Other options - Stefon Diggs, Cooper Kupp
Mid-tier options - Tank Dell, Nico Collins, Michael Pittman, Chris Olave

VALUE PLAY

Christian Kirk, JAX ($5700)
Christian Kirk’s price tag makes absolutely no sense. He continues to lead the Jags in both targets and routes run, and somehow seems to find his price DROPPING after such consistency. This JAX/HOU game looks to be incredibly friendly for fantasy purposes, and Kirk’s role out of the slot looks like it will grant him even more upside. The Texans just gave up a combined 7-124-1 line to Rondale Moore and Greg Dortch out of slot.

Other options - Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch, Rondale Moore, Diontae Johnson, Josh Downs, Demario Douglas, Justin Watson

TIGHT END

TOP PLAY

Dalton Kincaid, BUF ($5300)
We’ve reached a point where Kincaid is worth this price tag. He’s the clear number two option in the Bills passing game, and he’s logged 39 targets over the past five weeks. The Eagles are a pure pass funnel defense, and have allowed the fifth most FPPG to opposing TEs.

Other options - Travis Kelce

VALUE PLAY

Trey McBride, ARI ($4700)
DraftKings refuses to recognize where McBride’s price point should actually be. With Travis Kelce coming in at almost double McBride’s price tag, it lets you know exactly how much value there still is to be unlocked with the second-year tight end. McBride has 41 targets over the last five weeks and played every single snap against Houston a week ago. He continues to be the first read for Kyler Murray, and the Rams have allowed the eighth-most FPPG to opposing TEs.

Other options - Evan Engram, David Njoku, Hunter Henry, Cade Otton
