Dalton Kincaid 2023 Outlook
Kincaid has been referred to as a weapon and a steal repeatedly since the Bills traded up to get him in the first round of the 2023 draft. Kincaid has drawn some noteworthy NFL comparisons, including Travis Kelce. That type of praise should open eyes beyond Buffalo. Consider his 16-catch, 234-yard performance against USC last season when weighing Kincaid’s ceiling. But there’s also the calibration of how the Bills might incorporate Kincaid with proven No. 1 Stefon Diggs and already established starting tight end Dawson Knox chipping into the number of targets the rookie could see in 2023. His versatility is a major plus. Kincaid was unavailable for testing but appears to run in the 4.5s and operated frequently from the slot at Utah -- nearly 40 percent of offensive snaps. Finally, the question of health is valid until proven otherwise. Kincaid missed the end of the 2022 season and pre-draft workouts because of a back injury. Bills GM Brandon Beane was willing to move even higher to get Kincaid based on his team’s opinion that he’s healthy and ready to deliver for Josh Allen.
