DRAFTKINGS DFS CASH GAME PICKS - WEEK 13

QUARTERBACK

TOP PLAY

Joe Burrow, CIN ($6900)

There are a bunch of cheaper QBs we can look at for cash, but if you’ve got the money Burrow has that “high floor/high ceiling” profile that we seek for cash this week. The Bengals are playing KC in what looks like a game with shootout appeal, as the spread is 2.5 and the O/U is 52.5. Burrow currently sits as the overall QB4 in fantasy, and is sixth in passing attempts. He’ll likely get both Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Mixon back this weekend, and the Chiefs have allowed the eighth most FPPG to opposing QBs.

Other options - Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts

Mid-tier options - DeShaun Watson (probably more GPP than cash, but the price is nice if he’s the same QB), Geno Smith

VALUE PLAY

Trevor Lawrence, JAX ($5900)

Trevor Lawrence is currently the overall QB11 on the season and is the QB7 in PPG over the past three weeks. Every quarterback (and fantasy manager) drools over a game against the Lions (especially at Ford Field). They’ve allowed the most YPA and the most FPPG to opposing QBs, and Lawrence has thrown 77 passes with five TDs over his last two games. The $400 increase is not enough and he’ll be quite popular this weekend.

Other options - Daniel Jones, Mike White, Jared Goff, Kenny Pickett

RUNNING BACK

TOP PLAY

Austin Ekeler, LAC ($8500)

Ekeler is the overall QB1 in PPR thanks to his insane work in the passing game. He leads all RBs in targets, catches, and receiving yards, but has also maintained his RZ usage from a year ago (37 RZ touches, 3 goal line carries this season). Ekeler is well worth his price tag against the Raiders who have allowed 5.3 YPC, the fifth most FPPG to RBs, and the third most receiving yards to the position.

Other options - Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb, Josh Jacobs

Mid-tier options - Kenneth Walker, Aaron Jones, Travis Etienne, David Montgomery

VALUE PLAY

Jaylen Warren, PIT ($4900)

Things will have to break right for Warren to be a cash play, but as of now it looks like the tides are leaning in our favor. Najee Harris is not practicing and Warren is practicing in full, and his $4900 price tag will be the value play of the week as a starter. This screams of “Tony Pollard”, as Warren has averaged 6.1 yards per touch in his limited time this season. He also gets an incredible matchup against the Falcons who have allowed the seventh most FPPG to RBs and the fifth most receiving yards to RBs.

Other options - Dameon Pierce, Zonovan Knight (if no Carter)

WIDE RECEIVER

TOP PLAY

Davante Adams, LV ($8700)

With Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson facing rough matchups, Adams emerges as the clear WR1 this week, and honestly you can make the case for that every week. Adams leads the NFL in targets, target share, and air yards, and has run a route on 100% of Carr’s dropbacks (!). The Chargers do rank ninth against opposing WRs but Adams will get there on volume alone. He has 55 targets over the past four games.

Other options - Tyreek Hill, Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase

Mid-tier options - Amon-Ra St. Brown, Keenan Allen, Amari Cooper, Christian Kirk, Tyler Lockett

VALUE PLAY

Garrett Wilson, NYJ ($5300)

After finishing as the overall WR1 in Week 12, Garrett Wilson’s price only rose $300 on DraftKings, and it’s safe to say you’re not chasing points with him if you continue to ride the wave. In the four games this year where Zach Wilson wasn’t the QB, Garrett Wilson has averaged 10.25 targets per game and 5.8 receptions per game. He also is averaging 19.4 PPR PPG without Zach Wilson as opposed to 8.3 FPPG with him. Wilson should be considered a cash lock, and it’ll be tough to not go overweight on him in GPPs.

Other options - Terry McLaurin, Diontae Johnson, Zay Jones, Chase Claypool, Richie James

TIGHT END

TOP PLAY

Travis Kelce, KC ($7900)

There’s nothing more to say about this guy, and it’s even unfair to call him a tier of his own (it’s more like two tiers above the next best). Kelce is underpriced if he’s under 8k, and the Bengals have allowed the tenth most FPPG to TEs.

Other options - Mark Andrews

Mid-tier options - TJ Hockenson

VALUE PLAY

Foster Moreau, LV ($3600)

Foster Moreau’s game log is shaky enough to keep him as an every-week value, and Moreau is looking like a really good value for Week 13 after almost a 90% route participation share in Week 12. The Chargers have allowed the eighth most FPPG to opposing TEs.

Other options - Pat Freiermuth, David Njoku, Cole Kmet, Tyler Conklin
