Zonovan Knight 2023 Outlook
Breece Hall will be the New York Jets’ big rushing threat, but there may be room for Knight to have an impact in this backfield. The undrafted free agent from North Carolina State who goes by “Bam” got his chance in November after Hall was lost to injury and a trade for James Robinson didn’t pan out. After 93 yards from scrimmage in his NFL debut, Knight was getting starting nods over the ineffective Michael Carter. Knight’s 400 yards from scrimmage over just seven games averages out to 57.1 per game -- or 5.7 fantasy points you can rely on weekly if he keeps up that pace. But the reality is Knight will be hard-pressed to earn double-digit carries per game while Hall is on the field and Carter is also in the mix. The Jets said goodbye to Robinson and Ty Johnson, but they drafted Israel Abanikanda in the fifth round in April. Abanikanda has a nearly identical frame to Knight and better speed. Keep an eye on how the Jets rotate their backs in camp and preseason.
