Week 3

Quarterbacks

Taylor Heinecke @ Falcons ($5,900)

Something about Taylor Heinecke last post season stuck with us as he battled Tom Brady in the playoffs. Moxie. His comfortability has also been on display despite the three interceptions he’s thrown so far this season. That said, he’ll get a bottom of the barrel Falcons secondary week 4 in a dome. The Falcons are allowing 255 passing yards per game and ranks 30th in DVOA per Football Outsiders. Heinecke also has the ability to provide us rushing equity. Sign me up in tournaments and pair with Terry mcLaurin, Logan Thomas, or both.

Sam Darnold @ Cowboys ($6,000)

All it took was a geographical relocation to another conference with a polar opposite crowd of skill players for the world to see the real Sam Darnold. It’s working. For now. Darnold will get a Dallas pass defense thaf is allowing 331 yards per game (31st). The Panthers are nearly a touchdown underdog (+4.5) and that should allow Darnold to keep thriving despite being without Christian McCaffrey. Using Darnold with D.J. Moore in a stack with a Cowboys run-back makes perfect sense in tournaments.

Running Backs

Clyde Edwards-Helaire @ Eagles ($5,400)

I’m going back to the CEH well this week even though his price tag has increased. He’s had 17 touches in two of the first three games and will get an Eagles front seven that was abused by Ezekiel Elliott week 3. We were on him last week and he paid off his salary. A ceiling game is on the horizon. Here, we’re getting volume on the Cheap, from one of the best offenses in football. I think CEH is fine for Cash Games and GPP’s.

Chuba Hubbard @ Cowboys ($5,900)

Christian McCaffrey will miss week four and just like 2020, his replacement will have big shoes to fill. Expectations tempered. Chuba Hubbard will be the Panthers 2021 Mike Davis for a bit and that spells volume. Hubbard had 14 touches week 3 and that number this week will assumably be higher. The Cowboys have had a top-10 run defense so far this season, but the passing down work will be the differentiator. His upside is unknown but his sub 10% ownership could be beautiful in tournaments.

Wide Receivers

Robert Woods vs. Cardinals ($5,300)

Robert Woods is showing up in optimal lineups week 4 and we can assume it’s because of his depressed price tag, and potential shootout with the Arizona Cardinals. Woods has played on 88% of the offenses snap shares but has yet to surpass 75 yards in a game. Van Jefferson or DeSean Jackson could pop off at any moment as well with Cooper Kupp commanding so much attention. We know Bobby Trees has the upside, we’re still unclear about his rapport with Matthew Stafford, but this could be the week. I’ll have plenty of shares week four.

Cole Beasley vs. Texans ($5,400)

The Bills 17.5 favorites over the lowly Houston Texans at home week four and they should be able to cover that spread however they want to. The “Blow out” factor may have people hesitant on alpha Stefon Diggs, but in the end, Cole Beasley will eat in PPR. Beasley caught 11-of-13 targets week 3 for 98 yards despite Josh Allen spreading the ball around. He has a safe floor and 30 point upside. Sign me up at his cost, and guaranteed usage on arguably the NFL’s best offense.

Tight Ends

Evan Engram @ Saints ($3,000)

We certainly do NOT go out of our way to target players against the stout Saints defense. However, when value opens up, culminated with potential of increased usage, pounce. Evan Engram is in that spot week 4 as Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, and Darius Slayton are all carrying the Q Tag. The Giants fans have been brutal on his struggles, and this should create initiative to prove his round one draft capital. Engram had six targets last week and Daniel Jones may be forced to look his way even more against the Saints. Strong consideration has to be taken this weekend for Ingram in all formats.

Dalton Schultz vs. panthers ($3,400)

Dalton Schultz is popping in most vanilla optimal lineups this week, and his price point is a big reason. It is crowded in Dallas and despite Blake Jarwin splitting tight end duties with Schultz, he’s still been productive. Schultz has hauled in 14-of-15 targets, and scored twice last week. He’ll face arguably the best defense in the NFL week 4, so a fade makes some sense based on his ownership %. I’ll have exposure to him in stacks that contain Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper, and/or Ezekiel Elliott.

Defense/Special Teams

Lions @ Bears ($2,200)
