Week 12: Digging In The Crates

DraftKings Main Slate (10 Games)

Quarterbacks

Gardner Minshew vs. Buccaneers ($5,100)

The Buccaneers have gotten roasted this season by QB’s, and Gardner Minshew will get them this week. Five quarterbacks have passed for 324-plus yards and two-plus touchdown passes against Tampa Bay this season. His gun slinging approach, at home on a fast track, could have massive upside this week.

Derek Carr ($5,800)

Derek Carr is making progress in concussion protocol, but has yet to be cleared for sunday. Whether it is Carr, or Jameis Winston, one of them will have an opportunity to gash a Falcons secondary that has been middle of the road over the last three weeks. The Saints are holding onto the division lead, but not by much. Using Carr with Chris Olave seems just right for the price.

Running Backs

Jaylen Warren @ Bengals ($5,400)

Jaylen has played a huge role recently for the Steelers anemic offense, given them 100+ yard games in back to back weeks. Warren has had 12+ touches in three straight games, and will face a Bengals front seven that can be exploited.

Rachaad White @ Colts ($6,100)

The Buccaneers/ Colts game could shoot out Sunday, and I think Rachaad White is at the top of my list in that game. White has had. Touchdown in three straight games, and has become the clear bell cow-safety blanket for Baker Mayfield. The Colts defense has given up 12 touchdowns to running backs on the season so far. I like this game environment as a whole, and I’ll be stacking it with Minshew, and Michael Pittman from the other side.

Wide Receivers

Demario Douglas @ Giants ($4,400)

The Patriots will take offensive production anywhere they can find it, and recently Demario Douglas has been that bright spot. Douglas has had six or more targets in four straight games. In spite of the quarterback uncertainty, Douglas is going to pay off his cheap price tag this week.

Greg Dortch vs. Rams ($3,300)

The Cardinals are another team that will take offense anywhere they can get it even with Kyler Murray back. Michael Wilson will sit once again, and Greg Dortch is going to benefit. Dortch caught six of eight targets last Week, and was being used on special teams. At his price, we’ll take the value.

Tight Ends

David Njoku @ Broncos ($4,100)

David Njoku had 15 targets last week as he was the clear favorite for Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the passing game. He seems to be QB proof, and a safety blanket for whoever is under center. Njoku has commanded 19.8% of the team’s target share this season. I love the price, and I love his role.

Evan Engram @ Texans ($4,200)

The Jaguars are loaded on offense this season, and we all knew it to be the case coming in. Evan Engram has remained a fixture in the passing game for Jacksonville. Only ONCE this season has he failed to exceed five or more targets in a game. He’s a steady as it gets when we look at a position that lacks elite depth.

Defense/Special Teams

Texans ($2,600)
