Week 14

(DraftKings Main Slate)

Quarterbacks

Geno Smith vs. Panthers ($6,200)

The impressive story line for Geno Smith continues deep into the regular season as he has thrown for 275+ yards, and dropped 20 or more fantasy points in four straight games. Smith is the eighth highest priced QB on the main slate, and will get a Carolina Panthers defense that has been less than stellar in 2022. It is hard not to adore Smith based on his price, protection of the football, and having arguably the best wide receiver duo at his disposal.

Jared Goff vs. Vikings ($5,600)

Jared Goff is coming off of his third 300+ yard game week 13, after dismantling the Jaguars at home. Like Geno Smith, Goff has exceeded expectations this season, while being extremely cautious protecting the ball. The running game has got going, and outside of Amon Ra-St. Brown, DJ Chark has been the mix. Goff will get a suspect Vikings pass defense at home week 14.

Running Backs

Isiah Pacheco @ Broncos ($5,700)

This feels like the case every year with the Chiefs. A running back pops up, and becomes relevant to balance out Patrick Mahomes and the passing game. Pacheco has had four straight games with 15 or more touches. The Chiefs are heavy road favorites, which should benefit Pacheco and the run game in a positive game script.

Zonovan Knight @ Bills ($5,100)

I am getting the feeling that once again this week, we can get away with getting affordable, volume running backs on our rosters. This will allow us to spend at wide receiver, Travis Kelce, or “pay up” at QB. Knight, like Pacheco with the Chiefs has become a reliable piece in the Jets offense. And a safety valve for Mike White. Knight has had 17 or more touches in back to back weeks. The Bills have had holes in their run defense as of late.

Wide Receivers

Garrett Wilson @ Bills ($5,900)

We aren’t getting of the Garrett Wilson hype train now are we? It is almost as if, Mike White zeroes in on Wilson the entire game. Wilson has caught 13-of-23 passes over the last two weeks for 257 yards. He’s averaged 25 PPR points in that span. He’s still too cheap for a player that has had about has much wide receiver output as any stud over the last two weeks.

Jerry Jeudy vs. Chiefs ($5,400)

The Broncos will be without Courtland Sutton this weekend, and that will open a clear WR 1 path for Jerry Jeudy. The Broncos have to come alive at some point this season, right? JJ is recuperating from an ankle injury after playing just 38% of the snaps last week. The Chiefs are going to be all over the Broncos, and Jeudy should be force fed as a result.

Tight Ends

Greg Dulcich vs. Chiefs ($3,400)

Greg Dulcich led the Broncos week 14 in targets (8), receptions (6), and receiving yards (85). He’s being used like a wide receiver, and the Broncos will be without Courtland Sutton in a game they should be losing. Dollar for dollar (minus Travis Kelce) Dulcich is the best TE on the slate. Based on cost and opportunity. It gets harder each week to get excited about the tight end position. Which, is why we punt it.

Pat Freiermuth vs. Ravens ($4,500)

If there has been any model of consistency in the Steelers passing game this season, its been Pat Freiermuth. Freiermuth leads the Steelers in targets (45), catches (29) and yards (405) from the slot this season (Fabiano). Interesting tid bit considering the Ravens have hemorrhaged yards to slot receivers this season. The floor seems safe here.

Defense/Special Teams

Cowboys vs. Texans ($3,800)
