Week 9

(DraftKings Main Slate)

Quarterbacks

Justin Fields vs. Dolphins ($5,300)

Don’t look now but Justin Fields is coming into his own. Maybe. He has averaged 25 Fantasy Points over the last two games, and rushed for at-least 60 yards in three straight. Fields now has the big bodied Chase Claypool at his disposal, which could also help Darnell Mooney to get going. Fields will get a bottom five Dolphins pass defense Week 9 at home in a game the Bears should be playing from behind. I’m in on Fields and it’s mostly because of the rushing equity he brings to the table.

Aaron Rodgers @ Lions ($5,900)

I understand that it has been hard to watch the Packers offense in 2022. After all, we have been spoiled over the years and Aaron Rodgers has been spoiled with weapons. He has been pedestrian. The good news? He’ll get A Lions team that is allowing the third most points to Quarterbacks this season. Rodgers has averaged 300+ passing yards in four straight games, and thrown three touchdown passes in four of their last five meetings. He is safe in all Fantasy formats.

Running Backs

Raheem Mostert @ Bears ($6,100)

It was the Tua show week 8 against the Lions, and Raheem Mostert fizzled on us. However, the touches were there. The Dolphins got down early and the running game was not a priority. Mostert will get a bottom ten Bears run defense that is allowing over 26 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs so far this season. He is a nice mid tier option if we aren’t going to pay for Austin Ekeler, or Dalvin Cook.

Travis Etienne vs. Raiders ($6,300)

Out goes James Robinson in Jacksonville and in comes opportunity for Travis Etienne. The kid has been a monster over the last two weeks, averaging 25 Fantasy and 21 touches per game. Etienne will get a horrendous Raiders run defense at home, that just got dismantled by Alvin Kamara. His involvement in the passing game is also a differentiator while receiving the Jaguars last five goal line carries. Dollar for dollar, he may be my favorite running back on the slate.

Wide Receivers

Terry McLaurin vs. Vikings ($5,900)

The Taylor Heinicke story continues and Terry McLaurin is in the thick of it. McLaurin has caught 11-of-16 targets, for 186 yards, and a touchdowns over the past two weeks. It’s a revitalization in Washington on offense. He’ll get a Vikings secondary that has allowed the third most fantasy points to outside wideouts so far this season. He won’t be sub-6 K for much longer. Using Justin Jefferson in the same line up has massive upside.

DJ Moore @ Bengals ($5,800)

How DJ Moore is priced below $6,000 after the last two weeks is beyond me, but here we are. He’s only caught 13-of-21 targets, for 221 yards, and two touchdowns over the past two weeks. His ownership will once again be through the roof, but it’s chalk we eat. Moore has a 37% target share without Robby Anderson, and Christian McCaffrey in the picture. He’ll be tough to fade going forward based on opportunity alone.

Tight Ends

Kyle Pitts vs. Chargers ($4,500)

Kyle Pitts had his second highest yardage output, and his highest target share(32%) week eight as he was finally used how he should be weekly. Talent wise, he is among the BEST in the NFL, and now is the time to buy back in if you have jumped off the hype train. Week eight was a sample of what is yet to come.

Evan Engram vs Raiders ($3,300)

Evan Engram has has four receptions, in four straight weeks, with 50 or more yards per contest. He’ll get a Raiders defense that is allowing the 11th most fantasy points to Tight Ends, as Trevor Lawrence continues to pepper him with targets. He’s too cheap, and we’ll need that savings as we pay up elsewhere. This is a case of taking our ten-ish fantasy points and moving on. The touchdowns are coming.

Defense/Special Teams

Cardinals vs. Seahawks ($2,900)
