Week 13

(DraftKings Main Slate)

Quarterbacks

Mike White @ Vikings ($5400)

Mike White? Who? The guy that stepped in week 12 and lit up the Bears for over 300 yards, and three touchdowns, without throwing a pick. It gets better. White will get a Vikings pass defense that just made Mac Jones look like Tom Brady. Using White with Garrett Wilson, or Elijah Moore makes plenty of sense on the cheap. Running it back with Justin Jefferson.

Trevor Lawrence @ Lions ($5,900)

Trevor Lawrence has arrived. For now. To his credit, it’s a learning curve adjusting to the NFL. Lawrence is coming a thrilling Week 12, where he mounted a come back win against the Ravens, and was nearly flawless. He’ll get a Lions pass defense that has allowed the MOST fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Using Lawrence with Zay Jones and/or Christian Kirk;Travis Etienne has show to have massive upside on the cheap.

Running Backs

David Montgomery vs. Packers ($6,200)

David Montgomery should be one of the more popular plays Week 13, and for good reason. Monty has 37 touches over the last two weeks with work in the passing game. With Justin Fields still questionable, Khalil Herbert on season ending IR, and Darnell Mooney shelved, Montgomery is left to carry the bulk, which is a role he is accustomed to. The Packers are allowing over 200 yards rushing per game over their last three. Sign me up.

Jamaal Williams vs. Jaguars ($6,000)

The Jaguars/Lions game should be popular this weekend for good reason. I have expressed my interest in Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars already. Jamaal Williams is seeing the volume we like. In fact, 13 or more touches in six straight games. Running Back has turned into such an untrustworthy position withe exception of a few, that paying for volume (opportunity) is a safe-conservative move. I’ll be using Williams in my Jags/Lions stacks.

Wide Receivers

Garrett Wilson @ Vikings ($5,300)

The Mike White train will continue Week 13, and rookie Garrett Wilson figures to be a target hog on board. Wilson had five catches, for 95 yards, and two touchdowns week 12 against the lowly Bears. The opportunity will come again this weekend, as Mike White and company will see a Vikings team that got picked apart by Mac Jones. I love this stack, and adding Elijah Moore to the mix could add some leverage.

Christian Watson @ Bears ($5,200)

Christian Watson has become Aaron Rodgers nee Davante Adams in what seems like over night. Over the last three games, Watson has 21 or more fantasy points. He’ll face a Bears secondary that let Garrett Wilson do whatever he wanted just a week ago. He’s a problem, and too cheap. The trust over Aaron Rodgers is priceless. I am on Christian Watson until further notice.

Tight Ends

George Kittle vs. Dolphins ($5,000)

The sea of mediocrity gets deeper as we near the end of the regular season, leaving us with limited dependable options at tight end. George Kittle is still one of the best in the game and is priced as though he is not George Kittle. The Niners will get a Dolphins defense that have allowed the third most points to tight ends in 2022. Kittle has as much upside any given week than every TE in the game.

Pat Freiermuth @ Falcons ($4,300)

Is Pat Freiermuth the next Heath Miller in Pittsburgh? For fantasy sake. I’m in different. That said, it doesn’t take much production to float in the sea of mediocrity. Over the last three games, he has led the Steelers in target share (25%) with 23. It is clear that Freiermuth has become a security blanket as Kenny Pickett develops.
