Week 13:Digging In The Crates

DraftKings Main Slate (10 Games)

Quarterbacks

Sam Howell vs. Dolphins ($6,200)

Sam Howell will get a dreamy match up Week 13 at home against a Dolphins team that is going to score points. Howell will be forced to counter punch through the air. He has thrown for 20+ FPTS in five straight games, and three of those games he has eclipsed the three hundred yard mark three times in that stretch. The Dolphins are a middle of the road secondary that has been tested all season due to the game script. Howell has attempted 42 passes in six straight games coming into Week 13. I like the idea of double stacking him with Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, Logan Thomas, or Jahan Dotson.

Brock Purdy @ Eagles ($6,100)

Brock Purdy is going to be tested in one of the NFL’s most hostile game environments Week 13, and potentially a preview of the NFC Championship. The Eagles have yielded the second most fantasy points this season through the air, but have been stellar stopping the run. Stacking Purdy with Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and/or George Kittle makes plenty of sense on the cheap.

Running Backs

Zach Moss @ Titans ($4,600)

Jonathan Taylor will be OUT this weekend, and Zach Moss is going to have the keys in his absence. Moss will face a Titans front seven that he ran all over Week 5 on 32 touches. He’s a free square on DraftKings this Week, allowing us to spend wherever we want. In five starts, Moss has averaged 93+ yards/game. I will have him in every single lineup I create this Weekend.

Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Chargers ($6,000)

As I sit in the DraftKings suite Sunday at Gillette Stadium, the only real glimmer excitement from the Patriots offense starts and ends with Rhamondre Stevenson. Sadly. Stevenson had 26 touches last week in another pathetic loss. He has eclipsed 100+ yards from scrimmage in three straight games, and the volume will continue to be there this week at a reasonable price.

Wide Receivers

Curtis Samuel vs. Dolphins ($4,100)

I discussed my interest in Sam Howell this weekend, and it would only be fair to mention one of his primary beneficiaries. Curtis Samuel operating from the slot, caught 9-of-12 targets last week for 100 yards. Albeit, the production came in “garbage time”. The Commanders face a similar game script this Week against the Dolphins. I Love the price, rapport, volume, and potentially negative game script that he should benefit from.

Courtland Sutton @ Texans ($5,400)

Russell Wilson and the Broncos will take on the 27th best Houston Texans secondary. The Houston-Denver game has the second largest implied point total on the slate (47.5) which tells us there is going to be some points scored on both sides. Sutton has been steady this season averaging over 13 DK points/Game, but has yet to hit the 100 yard mark. Love his price and game environment.

Tight Ends

Pat Freiermuth vs. Cardinals ($4,100)

Alas! Pat Freiermuth has arrived on the 2023 fantasy scene. Better late, than never. He caught 9-of-11 targets last week, for 120 yards. We have to strike while the late season rapport is hot. His price is cheap, and the match up is beautiful. I look for him to thrive again week 13 in the middle of the field for Kenny Pickett.

David Njoku @ Rams ($4,100)

The sea of mediocrity has numerous affordable candidates Week 13 as we fish for production we are content with. David Njoku has been a fixture in the Browns offense since DTR has taken over. Njoku has 33 targets over his last three games, and should continue to be a safety blanket for the Browns Week 13. If by chance Amari Cooper sits, I’ll be locking Njoku into nearly every line up with Zach Moss.

Defense/Special Teams

Patriots vs. Chargers ($2,400)
