Week 9: Digging In The Crates

DraftKings Main Slate (10 Games)

Quarterbacks

Bryce Young vs. Colts ($5,100)

The Colts have been a fun secondary to pick on this season as they have been roasted by numerous wide receivers. He’ll face a Colts defense that Colts defense that ranks last in points allowed per game (28.6), 25th in passing yards per game (247.3) and 23rd in rushing yards per game (124). Also, the Colts are top-10 in scoring so we could have a shoot out on our hands. He’s cheap, and a ceiling game is coming from the first rounder. Stacking him with Adam Thielen is the way to do it.

Jordan Love vs. Rams ($5,500)

Dak Prescott absolutely shredded the Rams secondary last Week in a Cowboys routing at home, and Jordan Love will get his crack this week. Love has been steady overall this season, while finding his mojo as an NFL starter. The Rams have allowed two QB’s to register more than 300 yards passing in a game this season. He is a tad cheaper than Derek Carr, who is one of the best PT/$ plays on the main slate.

Running Backs

Rachaad White @ Texans ($5,600)

Rachaad White has had at-least six catches over his last two games, serving as an outlet for Baker Mayfield while checking down. He has been massively inefficient as a runner, but he will remain a viable fantasy option in PPR formats. His floor is safe with Houston being generous to running backs this season, and his ceiling has yet to be determined.

Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Commanders ($5,500)

If the Patriots expect to win any more games this season, it is a safe bet that it wont be on the right arm of Mac Jones. Rhamondre Stevenson is one of the lone bright spots on the offense, and he’ll face a Commander’s defensive front that just parted ways with Chase Young and Montez Sweat. The Commanders were ranked 21st against the run before their departure. Zeke Elliott will garner a couple touches, but it is Stevenson’s volume. It’s not the prettiest week for RB’s in DFS, but the mid-range is going to allow us to spend at wide receiver.

Wide Receivers

Jonathan Mingo vs. Colts ($3,400)

The Colts have been torched this season by opposing QB’s, and the receivers have been the beneficiaries. Adam Thielen is one of the best plays on the slate, but Jonathan Mingo is a fraction of the cost. His 15% target share is not eye popping, but the trajectory is upwards. I like the over all spot for the Panthers passing this Week in a juicy match up, and while I will have a ton of Thielen, Mingo will also be sprinkled in because of his price.

Bonus: Demario Douglas

Jayden Reed vs. Rams ($3,600)

As I stated earlier, I like Jordan Love, and his weaponry at home this week against the Rams. Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Jayden Reed are all in play. They are all also affordable. Reed is the cheapest, and has caught 7-of-10 targets over the last two weeks. He saw a season-high 79.4% of snaps and a 14.6% target share.

Tight Ends

Trey McBride @ Browns ($3,700)

With Zach Ertz OUT with a quad injury, McBride has turned 14 targets into 25.5 fantasy points. McBride’s 86% routes run rate was also a season-high for him. Kyler Murray is coming back and may lean on Mcbride in the middle of the field as he eases back into NFL game speed.

Taysom Hill vs. Bears ($4,700)

In all honesty, it is tough to figure out exactly what Taysom Hill is. He lines up everywhere, and does a little of everything on offense. Tight End eligibility on DraftKings is nice, and the Saints have a good match up at home this weekend against the Bears. He has averaged double digit fantasy points in three straight weeks, through the air, and on the ground. I’ll be using numerous Saints this week for certain.

Defense/Special Teams

Patriots vs. Commanders ($2,900)
