Week 15

DraftKings (Main Slate)

Quarterbacks

Jalen Hurts @ Cardinals ($5,900)

Jalen Hurts is on the fringe of being a DITC play based on his near 6 K price tag, but we’re still getting a bargain. He is essentially a poor man’s Lamar Jackson based on his rushing equity and should throw enough to make value. Be can do more than Wentz and the move should have happened soon, but nevertheless, the time is now for Hurts as we near the end of the regular season. The rookie rushed for 106 yards in his NFL debut and we could be seeing the beginning of a new era. Think cheap Lamar Jackson that may be erratic in the passing game, but view him as a running back that can throw. Stacking him with Miles Sanders and/or Dallas Goedert makes a ton of sense on the cheap. Running it back with DeAndre Hopkins is the play for me.

Mitchell Trubisky @ Vikings ($5,500)

I am becoming redundant here using Mitch Trubisky every week, but his price is just too affordable. I more so gravitate towards Allen Robinson each week, making it easy to use Trubisky being that he is the distributor. He hasn’t thrown a pick in back to back weeks and will face a Vikings pass defense that is bottom six allowing 256 yards through the air on average each week. The Bears are now in MUST win territory and stacking this game with either Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, or Justin Jefferson on the other side is going to be my method based on ownership percentage.

Bonus: Phillip Rivers vs. Texans ($5,900)

Running Backs

Kenyan Drake vs. Eagles ($5,500)

Don’t look now but Kenyan Drake is coming up on a 1,000 yard season with just a few weeks to go. It’s his backfield with Kyler Murray in a run heavy offense. Drake has five touchdowns over the last four weeks and the volume has been there. The Eagles are a bottom ten run defense that are allowing over 127 yards on the ground per game. Drake can be used in game stakes and I think this one will be sneaky. His volume isn’t a question, it’s whether or not he can provide us with the touchdown equity we need in tournaments.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire @ Saints ($5,800)

Any time the Chiefs are on a slate we feel compelled to use Patrick Mahomes with Tyreek Hill or Travis Kelce. The ground game gets overlooked and that will be the case for Clyde Edwards-Helaire week 15. The Saints have been stingy against the run, but the Chiefs passing game can push the ball down field as good as any team. He’s back after a stomach illness and the volume will be there. He’s a discounted, volume running back on the best offense in the league. He’ll be a fantastic leverage play if we dont have Travis Kelce or Tyreek Hill. Even if we do use Hill or Kelce, CEH can diversify our build. I love him in tournaments based on the usage and low ownership.

Bonus: Jeff Wilson @ Cowboys ($5,100)

Wide Receivers

Lynn Bowden vs. Patriots ($3,600)

The Dolphins offense is a mess right now health wise, and opportunity instantly presented itself for Lynn Bowden by way of default. He developed an instant rapport with Tua Tagovailoa. Bowden may be leaned again heavily week 15 against a tight Patriots secondary. He caught 7-of-9 targets for 82 yards. He’ll also be used sparingly in the running game. Per Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, Dolphins offensive coordinator Chan Gailey said Tuesday that Bowden responded to the ." Says he'll be more and more a part of offense going forward.” He’s a value at $3,600 that will free up cap for us in cash games and tournaments.

T.Y. Hilton vs. Texans ($5,500)

Hello Darkness my old friend, T.Y. Hilton has turned it UP over the last few weeks, building a late season rapport with Phillip Rivers as the Colts aim towards the playoffs. Hilton has caught 17-of-23 targets over the last three weeks, for 277 yards and four touchdowns. His best game yet was week 13 against the Texans whom he’ll see again sunday. He’s OWNED the Texans over the course of his career and week 15 should be no different. I’ll be firing him up everywhere at that price tag.

Bonus: Russell Gage vs. Buccaneers ($4,700)

Tight Ends

Cole Kmet @ Vikings ($3,000)

I’ll be stacking Mitch Trubisky this week as noted with Allen Robinson, and Cole Kmet will also be in some of those stacks. At $3,000 we can do far worse, and he only really needs 9-10 DraftKings points to make value. He’s a budding star reminiscent of George Kittle or Travis Kelce, that runs angry and will serve as a safety blanket for Trubisky going forward. The Bears are looking to make the playoffs and his services will be needed. Sign me up at that price, hopefully we can see some upside before the season concludes.

Logan Thomas vs. Seahawks ($4,000)

The only really stability has been Logan Thomas in 2020. Hard to believe given Terry McLaurin is blooming before our eyes, and the emergence of Antonio Gibson. He’ll get arguably the weakest pass defense in the league week 15 at home against the Seahawks. He flashed the upside week 13 against the Steelers catching nine passes for 98 yards and a touchdowns against a stout Pittsburgh defense. Dollar for dollar he is one of the best tight end plays on the main slate and where I don’t use Cole Kmet, i’ll have an abundance of Logan Thomas based on his consistent usage, and negative game script.

Bonus: Dallas Goedert @ Cardinals ($3,900)

Defense/Special Teams

Washington Football Teams vs. Seahawks ($2,600)

The WFT is arguably the best defense in football and they’ll make the playoffs because of it. Chase Young is a problem and will get his first real test against Russell Wilson at home. They are a safe defense on a point per dollar basis and will come in low owned.
