DraftKings Main Slate (11 Games)

Quarterbacks

Jacoby Brissett vs. Texans ($5,600)

Jacoby Brissett has a level of comfort with the Colts after being thrusted into the lead role with Andrew Luck retiring. Brissett has thrown 10 touchdowns and just three picks so far. He is averaging 23 DraftKings points a game at home and he’ll get a bottom ten Houston Texans pass defense week 7. He can be used in cash games if you’re not paying up for Watson, Jackson or Murray. He’s projected to score more points than Deshaun Watson.

Gardner Minshew @ Bengals ($5,400)

Welcome back to earth Gardner Minshew. The Saints came to town and shut down the entire Jaguars offense. Minshew will look to bounce back against the lowly bengals. Rookies struggle and it should be viewed as a wake up call. The Bengals will be without their top two starting cornerbacks and are have injuries up front. Look for Leonard Fournette to have a day and in turn allowing Gardner Minshew to dissect the Bengals. He’s a tournament only play week 7.

Bonus: Matthew Stafford

Running backs

Josh Jacobs @ Packers ($5,000)

We had an opportunity to watch Josh Jacobs score two touchdowns against the stout run defense of the Chicago Bears in London a couple weeks ago. He’ll get a horrendous Packers run defense that is allowing 124 yards per game on the ground. Jacobs has looked like the real deal with multiple touchdown upside. He’s also bee involved in the passing game. Jacobs is in play for cash games and tournaments. I love his price. He could be the Crate play of the week.

Joe Mixon vs. Jaguars ($5,000)

Let me say this. Joe Mixon has the skill set of a top 10 running back in the NFL. His offensive line has been atrocious and he hasn’t been used properly. He’s projecting well this week and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he has himself a day sooner rather than later. He should have nearly 20 touches in a game that should be close. The Jaguars are giving up 131 yards a game on the ground. Mixon’s price makes him firmly in play for cash games and his upside can make him a fantastic tournament play. Again, a breakout week is coming.

Bonus: Kerryon Johnson

Wide receivers

Cole Beasley vs. Dolphins ($4,700)

Cole Beasley is essentially a poor mans Julian Edelman. A shifty underneath PPR machine. His matchup against the Dolphins week 7 is gold. Beasley is averaging 14 fantasy points a game at home and is projecting as a top-15 wide receiver on the main slate. The Bills are heavy favorites in what should be a beating in the air and on the ground. (Shout out to Frank Gore) use Beasley in cash games ONLY as as a salary saver with a safe floor.

Allen Lazard vs. Raiders ($3,000)

The Packers are hurting at wide receiver with injuries to Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison. If both of them sit week 7, Allen Lazard at minimum salary is firmly in play. He caught 4-of-5 targets with a touchdown week 6 against the Lions after being thrusted into the starting role. Aaron Rodgers likes him and that type of trust is equivalent to Tom Brady’s with pass catchers. He’s a big bodied wide receiver that A-Rod can also use in the red zone with Jimmy Graham’s suddenly slippery hands. Keep an eye on the Packers receiving corps and use Lazard in any format if he does indeed start.

Bonus: Darius Slayton

Tight Ends

Hunter Henry @ Titans ($4,000)

We saw vintage Hunter Henry week 6 against the Steelers. Henry caught 8-of-9 targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns. As fantasy players we have to strike while the iron is hot with guys like Henry because of his on going injury history that has become the norm. If he is healthy, Henry is a top-10 tight end on an offense that needs him to symbolize Antonio Gates going forward. His price is not adjusted according and it wont take much to pay off his Crate salary. Use him in cash games and tournaments.

Jimmy Graham vs. Raiders ($4,200)

As I mentioned with Allen Lazard, the Packers are in dire need of pass catchers. Jimmy Graham is projected as a top-6 tight end week 7. Graham himself has the questionable tag. It’s been a rough go for Graham so far this season but if he does play the opportunities will be there against a 22nd ranked Raiders pass defense. Mercedes Lewis who has been the better tight end so far is also firmly in play at $2,700. Darren Waller on the other side of this game is also sub-5K and also in play.

Bonus: Gerald Everett

Defense/Special Teams

Giants vs. Cardinals ($2,500)

The Giants pass rush is coming together and they should be able to get at Kyler Murray at home week 7. Dollar for dollar they may be the best defense on the slate.
