Digging In The Crates Week 17
(DraftKings Main Slate)

Week 17

Quarterbacks

Trey Lance vs. Texans ($4,800)

It looks as if Jimmy G is going to miss week 17 with a UCL tear, and fracture on his thumb making way for the rookie Trey Lance to start. Lance will get a mediocre at best Texans secondary and his weaponry is among the leagues best with Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George kittle. Stacking two of these guys with Lance makes plenty of sense.

Russell Wilson vs. Lions ($6,200)

Russell Wilson is human. We’re catching a glimpse of that in 2021, and consequently the Seahawks season has been a wash. He’ll get a weak Lions secondary this week at home. He’ll also have D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett at his disposal. Some think it could be Wilson’s last game in Seattle, but there is no way he goes out on a low note. I’ll have some Seattle stacks this weekend on the cheap.

Running Backs

Sony Michel @ Ravens ($5,800)

The Rams are going to lean on Sony Michel for the duration of the season as they move on without Darnell Henderson, and potentially ease Cam Akers into the mix. Michel had 28 touches week 16 on the road at Minnesota despite being non existent in the passing game. The Ravens have been stout against the run recently, but Matthew Stafford should have no problem pushing the ball down the field through the air an setting up Sony with red zone usage. We are paying for volume at a discount this week.

Chase Edmonds @ Cowboys ($5,700)

At a minimum, James Conner suits up week 17 (heel) and Continues to split touches with Chase Edmonds. If Conner does NOT play, then Chase Edmonds will get the lion share, and keep his prominent role in the passing game. Edmonds is coming off a 24 touch, 127 yard week 16 performance. I love Chase Edmonds in tournaments this week.

Wide Receivers

D.J. Moore @ Saints ($5,600)

Sam Darnold is back for the Panthers, and that boosts the stock for DJ Moore to close out a disappointing 2021 season. Moore was able to thrive with Darnold in their first matchup against the Saints, catching eight passes, for 79 yards, and a touchdown. Jaylen Waddle just ate this Saints secondary alive. Sign me up at his price and upside.

Odell Beckham @ Ravens ($5,700)

Odell Beckham has fit in immediately with Matthew Stafford and the Rams as they head into the post season without Robert Woods. He’s also scored a touchdown in three of his last four. He’ll face a Ravens defense that’s allowed the most fantasy points to opposing receivers since Week 9. A Stafford, Kupp, and Odell Beckham double stack has massive upside that Joe Burrow just destroyed.

Tight Ends

Gerald Everett vs. Lions ($4,100)

There hasn’t been a ton of continuity within the Seahawks offense in 2021, mostly in part of Russell Wilson’s inefficiencies. However, quietly Gerald Everett has found a home in Seattle, and has caught 10-of-11 targets, with two touchdowns over the past three games. Awesome? Hardly. Good enough? Precisely. He’ll get a Lions defense week 17 that has surrendered the third-most points to the position since Week 9. Russ is going to want to cook as he closes out 2021.

Hunter Henry vs. Jaguars ($4,200)

There hasn’t been a ton of eye popping individual offensive product from the Patriots in 2021, but Hunter Henry has certainly been a safety valve for the blooming Mac Jones. Henry has caught nine touchdowns, and is playing the majority of snaps while fellow free agent Jonnu Smith stands on the sideline. Henry will get a Jaguars defense that should be exposed Week 17 in all areas and Henry is expected to be a big part of that. Love the Crate price, love the upside.

Defense/Special Teams

Cowboys vs. Cardinals ($3,200)
