Digging In The Crates Week 16
(DraftKings Main Slate)

Week 16

Quarterbacks

Joe Burrow vs. Ravens ($5,900)

Joe Burrow will get a divisional Match up against a decimated Ravens secondary week 16 at home. Burrow lit up the Ravens week 7 throwing for 416 yards and three touchdowns. The Bengals play at a slow pace, but he has one of the best arsenal of weapons in the league as they head into the playoffs. Stacking Burrow with Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins, or Ja’Marr Chase makes a ton of sense.

Tyler Huntley @ Bengals ($6,000)

Lamar Jackson is expected to sit again week 16, and Tyler Huntley will once again get to audition for a starting job in the NFL. Huntley went wild week 15 against a tough Packers defense throwing for two touchdowns, and adding two with his legs. Huntley finished as QB1 in Week 15 with 36 Fantasy points. His rushing equity is the added bonus we chase each week.

Running Backs

Ronald Jones @ Panthers ($5,100)

Leonard Fournette will be sidelined week 16 as the Bucs play the Carolina Panthers short handed on offense. The good news? Ronald Jones will slide into a volume role, and it’s needed. Filling in four games for uncle Lenny in 2020, Jones had weekly fantasy finishes of RB14, RB16, RB4, and RB15 in PPR scoring. He’ll be needed in the passing game as well, with the loss of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans Questionable.

Miles Sanders vs. Giants ($5,600)

The timing of Miles Sanders arrival was perfect for fantasy teams that were in the semi finals last week, and he could carry that momentum into week 16 against the Giants. Sanders will get a Giants defense that is allowing 154 yards per game to running backs this season. The touches are going to be there. I love Sanders again this week in all formats.

Wide Receivers

Antonio Brown @ Panthers ($4,900)

Antonio Brown is expected to return week 16, after a hiatus caused by his typical shenanigans. That said, it’s easy to forget how he was the best WR in football for a block in time. Based on the Buccaneers injuries, AB’s services are in dire need. Fire him up Week 16, his needed usage could win Fantasy Championships. Love him in tournaments this week.

Emmanuel Sanders @ Patriots ($4,000)

The Bills are going to be without Cole Beasley, and Gabriel Davis week 16 against a stingy Patriots defense. That said, Emmanuel Sanders may be thrusted into a role requiring him to play 90% or more of the offensive snaps. Bill Belichick will work to take Stefon Diggs out of the game, allowing Manny to eat in a game that will have more points than the wind storm they played in a few weeks ago.

Tight Ends

Cole Kmet @ Seahawks ($3,300)

He caught six of nine targets for 71 yards — good enough for 10 fantasy points and a TE8 finish. The Bears will face a Seattle defense this week, who has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to the tight end position this year. I can envision Nick Foles ($4,000) using Kmet as a safety blanket week 16 as they’ll likely be trailing on the road. The two of them make an unreal salary saver stack.

Noah Fant @ Raiders ($4,400)

Will this be the week Noah Fant pops off? It seems like that hasn’t happened since the Drew Lock days (last season) and we’ve all been waiting patiently in 2021. The Broncos face the Raiders this week, whose defense has allowed the third-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. On the cheap side, it’ll be Kmet and Fant for me this week in all formats.

Defense/Special Teams

Vikings vs. Rams ($2,400)
