DraftKings (Main Slate)

Quarterbacks

Will Grier @ Colts ($4,300)

It is Will Grier time in Carolina and it seems fitting considering the Panthers roller coaster ride so far in 2019. The third round talent and organization has been eyeing this week aa his debut for a little while now. Week 16 is an audition for himself and the team going forward. At near the minimum on DraftKings and the ton of talent on the Panthers, playing Grier in Cash games is a no brainer.

Dwayne Haskins vs. Giants ($4,700)

Dwayne Haskins was efficient week 15 against the Eagles completing 19-of-28 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns. The rapport was clear with Terry McLaurin as the two connected all day. The Giants rank 26th in the NFL against the pass and the former college teammates should thrive again week 16. Haskins can be used in cash games and tournaments.

Running backs

DeAndre Washington @ Chargers ($4,000)

Rookie sensation Josh Jacobs has been ruled OUT week 16 and DeAndre Washington is expected to assume more responsibilities at the “lead” running back for the Raiders offense. Jalen Richard also is expected to take on more work in the passing game. Two weeks ago Washington was able to feast against the Titans and the way to beat the Chargers this week will be on the ground. If Washington’s usage is around 15 or more touches than he will easily pay off his Crate price and will become an excellent source of more than satisfactory fantasy production. I think he can be used in cash games which will allow us to spend elsewhere.

Boston Scott vs. Cowboys ($4,000)

It should be noted that Boston Scott was on the DraftKings Live Final winning lineup week 15. That isn’t saying a ton but for his price and usage while Jordan Howard has been off the filled makes him more than viable. Scott has 13 receptions over the last two weeks and his price has gone up $1,000 which isn’t enough for us to hate him. He’s complimenting Miles Sanders terrifically in the James White role. We’re getting PPR gold on the cheap. Use him in cash games or GPP’s.

Wide receivers

Danny Amendola @ Broncos ($4,900)

Danny Amendola has gotten 29 targets over the last three weeks, being a safety valve for Matthew Stafford’s replacement David Blough. Kenny Golladay will get the Chris Harris treatment week 16 and that should allow Amendola to roam around underneath all game. The wide receiver production is all over the place in Detroit when it comes to consistency but there is no denying the looks Amendola is getting making him a fantastic tournament play week 16.

Chris Conley @ Falcons ($4,300)

The only thing more irritating than trying to figure which Jaguars quarterback will play week to week has been figuring out the usage amongst their wide receivers. With D.J. Chark injured, Chris Conley became Gardner Minshew’s immediate best friend. He’s cheap and he’s seen at-least seven targets in half of his games this season. The truth is someone needs to catch the ball in Jacksonville and every time we use Dede Westbrook it back fires. Use Conley in tournaments, I can’t say I trust him in cash.

Tight End

Austin Hooper vs. Jaguars ($4,400)

Austin Hooper prior to getting injured was THE number one tight end in 2019 fantasy land. Even with games missed he can be deemed “elite” in the sea of tight end mediocrity. The Jaguars have allowed the third most touchdowns to tight ends this season and with Calvin Ridley on the shelf this is a perfect bounce back spot for Hoop. He’s had six targets in back to back weeks and despite poor productivity. That said, people will be off him and he’s showed elite upside when on the field all season. His price point makes him a great cash and tournament play tight end week 16.

Dallas Goedert vs. Cowboys ($4,100)

Zach Ertz is the highest priced tight end on the main slate week 16 and rightfully so. Carson Wentz loves him and he is ultimately the number one receiver by default. The Eagles have been successful using two tight end sets and Dallas Goedert has been very reliable and over $2,000 cheaper week 16. He lacks the upside for tournament builds but is a fine pivot off of Ertz who will command a ton of defensive attention. Goedert is fine in cash games and is nearly a lock for six or more targets this week.

Defense/Special Teams

Falcons vs. Jaguars ($3,100)

The Falcons defense has been fantasy elite since week 10 in every statistical category. The Jaguars are terrible but Adrian Clayborn and Vic Beasley should be able to get to Gardner Minshew. I love this matchup at home.
