Week 8

Quarterbacks

Carson Wentz vs. Titans ($5,700)

Don’t look now but Carson Wentz has thrown 11 touchdowns to his his just ONE interception through week seven. He’s projecting as one of the best pt/$ quarterbacks on the main slate in a game that features a game total over 50 points. Michael Pittman is too cheap ($5,300) and Wentz loves him. They form a nice, affordable upside stack.

Matt Ryan vs. Panthers ($5,900)

Matt Ryan has been a pleasant fantasy surprise this season despite missing Calvin Ridley for a few games and the departure of Julio Jones. Ryan has a pair of touchdown passes in each of his last five games. He is coming off back-to-back 300-yard performances. Pairing Ryan with Kyle Pitts or Calvin Ridley makes perfect sense in tournaments. Pitts ownership could be through the roof based on his price.

Running Backs

Kenneth Gainwell @ Lions ($5,000)

The underachieving Miles Sanders is going to miss week 8 with an ankle injury and it would appear that Kenneth Gainwell is set to take the lead role for the Eagles as the primary ball carrier, and pass catching back. Gainwell has already rushed for two TDs and has been targeted 31 times while playing in just over 34 percent of the snaps for the Eagles. He ran 17 routes on his 22 snaps in the second half and should be a focal point against a Lions team that has allowed six touchdowns in seven games to running backs as receivers.

Khalil Herbert vs. 49ers ($5,400)

Over the last three games, Khalil Herbert's 272 yards rushing are third in the NFL, sitting behind Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry (359) and Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (305). Volume on the cheap as I like to say. Herbert was able run through the Buccaneers week seven totaling 133 yards, on 23 touches. It is encouraging that despite the beating the Bears were enduring, Herbert still ate. Sign me up in tournaments.

Wide Receivers

Michael Pittman vs. Titans ($5,300)

I touted Carson Wentz this week and it only feels right to be on his favorite target, Michael Pittman. Pittman bas had three 20+ point DK performances so far this year and continues to come up with big play, after big play. He’ll get Janoris Jenkins this week whom is allowing a 70+ percent catch rate. He’a not safe enough for cash games yet, but he is firmly in play for tournaments with Carson Wentz. Pittman is the WR 20 so far in Fantasy Land.

Khalif Raymond vs. Eagles ($5,300)

The Detroit Lions are a BAD NFL team and sometimes BAD NFL teams can give us fantasy success due to the negative game scripts the team always finds themselves in. Khalif Raymond has stepped into that role and has had 15 targets over the last two weeks as the offense scraps to get any production outside of D’Andre Swift. With Tyrell Williams and Quintez Cephus on injured reserve, the opportunities will continue to come. The Eagles are bleeding fantasy points to wide receivers and i’ll find myself with Raymond shares in my lineups. He can be used as a last piece, or one off.

Tight Ends

Hunter Henry @ Chargers ($4,200)

The Patriots offense is a power house! I’m kidding. Mac Jones is in his infancy, and the team is working on cohesiveness. Incrementally. That said, Hunter Henry has become a security blanket for Jones, and has scored touchdowns in FOUR straight weeks. The volume isnt there, but the trust is. While I don’t love the price entirely, I do like the “revenge” narrative. One thing we’ve learned is that we need to use Hunter Henry when he is healthy, even if it is temporary.

C.J. Uzomah @ Jets ($3,700)

The C.J. Uzomah Best Ball Free squares are starting to pay off, and his price is still depressed on a Bengals offense that is rolling. Uzomah is showing off big play, after big play with two 24+ point PPR games so far this season. He has played 71% of the snaps, and he’s become a fixture for Joe Burrow, who is continuing to impress. Winning has a way of extracting the best out of some players. Obviously. Even the ancillary pieces. And a result we’re able to capitalize as fantasy owners. Just like the Stock Market. Sign me up in tournaments at his price. Every time.

Defense/Special Teams

Colts vs. Titans ($2,600)
