Week 11

Quarterbacks

Cam Newton @ Dolphins ($5,600)

Everything comes full circle, and now Cam Newton has late season fantasy appeal. Still, because of his rushing equity. Unreal. Newton will get a Dolphins defense that has disappointed. Newton has scored five touchdowns in the two games that he has played, and he’ll get a Miami defense that has allowed the fifth most fantasy points to Quarterbacks. He’s too cheap given his “upside”.

Tyrod Taylor vs. Jets ($5,300)

The Texans do NOT have a running game and they will get a Jets defense that ranks 32nd in DVOA Week 12 at home. In three games, Taylor has thrown for 656 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. He also brings a little bit of rushing equity to the table. Stacking Taylor with Brandin Cooks makes perfect sense on the cheap.

Running Backs

Dontrell Hilliard @ Patriots ($4,600)

The Derrick Henry show is over for the 2021 season, and the Titans are going to have to work with anything they can get in the running game. Dontrell Hilliard is coming off of a eight receptions week 11 against the lowly Jets, and could be used very similar against a stymy Patriots defense week 12. Sneaky upside after a week that everyone was on D’onta Foreman.

Ty Johnson @ Texans ($4,300)

Michael Carter is set to miss a couple weeks with an ankle sprain, and Ty Johnson figures to play a larger role in the mean time. It’ll be interesting to see how his touches are distributed between Tevin Coleman and Johnson. They both could be beneficiaries of the check down with Joe Flacco running the offense. We could be getting volume on the cheap. Sign me up

Wide Receivers

Marquez Valdez-Scantling vs. Rams ($4,100)

MVS was targeted ten times week 11, and hauled in four receptions for 123 yards, with a touchdown. With Allen Lazard’s status up in the air, and Jalen Ramsey potentially shadowing Davante Adams, MVS could eat. The Packers have had their share of injuries, opening up usage for the remaining, supporting cast. Fire up MVS as a saver reliever in tournaments and cash games.

Brandon Aiyuk vs. Vikings ($5,100)

It was this time last season that Brandon Aiyuk came on the scene and paved the way for an early 2021 ADP. He’s mostly busted, but has came on STRONG lately. Aiyuk has exceed 19 PPR points in two of his last three games. He’ll get a Vikings secondary that was just shredded week 11 by the Packers wide receiver corps. He’s still third in the pecking order behind Deebo Samuel and George Kittle, but with the backfield in shambles, Aiyuk can eat there too.

Tight Ends

Pat Freiermuth @ Bengals ($4,300)

I’m going right back to Pat Freiermuth Week 12 in a juicy match up against the Bengals. Eric Ebron is doubtful, and the Steelers will get a Cincinnati team that has allowed three touchdowns to tight ends over the last month. He’s been targeted 21 targets over the last three weeks, and a red zone favorite of Ben Roethlisberger. Tight End is thin this week, but the $4,000 range seems to be the deepest.

Noah Fant vs. Chargers ($4,600)

Our expectations for Noah Fant this season have been somewhat of a disappointment, but he’s not alone in the underachieving department. Fant will get a Chargers defense that allowed eight touchdowns to tight ends so far this season. There are plenty of mouths to feed in Denver with usage to spread around, but Fant is the unquestioned TE 1.

Defense/Special Teams

Texans vs. Jets ($2,300)
