Startem sitem 2016 week 4 Sunday

Trevor Siemian QB DEN TB START
Siemian broke out against Cincinnati last week. He heavily utilized both Sanders and Thomas. Tampa has been a great defense to start your fantasy assets against. Look toward this game to find below the radar options.

Joe Flacco QB BAL OAK START
Oakland has been involved in a couple of shoot outs already. Their promising defense hasn't come as advertised. Flacco could take adavantage of this matchup with his array of passing weapons.

Isaiah Crowell RB CLE WAS START
Washington has had problems stopping opposing running backs this year. PIT and DAL had solid RB1s playing against them, but they also let up a combined 35.7 points at RB to the NYG committee that was sans Rashad Jennings and Vereen got injured in the game. Look for Crowell to take advantage.

Terrelle Pryor WR CLE WAS START
Pryor was all world last week. But he also had 10 targets the week before. The wrinkle here is in addition to the top target at WR, he threw 5 passes and played some wildcat QB. If that's going to continue (nothing leads me to believe that it won't until McCown comes back) then run him into your lineup for the chance of an explosive game.

Dwayne Washington RB DET CHI START
Washington received some action in the 2nd half last week and look decent which is far better than Riddick looks as a runner. Unfortunately for Washington owners, Riddick will dominate the pass targets. But I suspect at least a 15 carry day for Washington and possibly more if Detroit runs out to a big lead over an overmatched Chicago defense missing 5 starters.

Jordan Howard RB CHI DET START
Howard has walked into a nice situation. A decent matchup vs DET combined with both Langford and Carey injured. Joique Bell has joined the team, but likely not a factor in his first week on the roster. Howard ran the ball well and proved to be a nice receiving option. I like his ppr chances of contributing this week.

Brandon Marshall WR NYJ SEA SIT
Marshall has been gimpy with his sprained knee. This week Seattle will focus on shutting him down with Decker looking like he might not go. This could be a long week for the Jets.

Sterling Shepard WR NYG MIN SIT
Shepard had a nice week vs New Orleans and has looked good in the early going. But, against Minnesota's defense, I'd only start the star players which I can't yet count Shepard.

Kenny Britt WR LA ARI SIT
Britt has opened the season with 10.7, 15.4 and 6.8 points. He's registered at least 4 catches each week. If he's matched up with Patrick Peterson, however, I'd err on sitting Britt over hoping he grabs his first TD in week 4.

Spencer Ware RB KC PIT START
Ware blew up in week 1 followed by a couple of pedestrian performances in weeks 2 and 3. This week he gets the PIT defense that has been solid against the run, save the last third of the game last week when they were blown out. What I think we learned though is they are susceptible to pass catching RBs. This would mean Charles is a great fit. There's rumors he might go. I'm assuming that even if he does go, Ware is used a fair amount. His pass catching ability also could propel him to being a startable option this week even in a split workload.

In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Drew Brees each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going. This year I'm going to be looking at different ways to integrate daily fantasy pricing and Vegas odds into my decision making process. Good Luck this year!
