In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Josh Allen each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going.

Player Pos Team Opp Start / Sit Comment
Eno Benjamin RB Ari SEA START James Conner looks like he'll miss this week. Also, Darrel Williams will be OUT. That leaves Eno Benjamin and some new signed RBs (Corey Clement and Ty'Son Williams) and rookie Keontay Ingram on the roster. They get Seattle's 29th ranked run defense. Expect Eno to get the lion share of the work.
Darrell Henderson RB LAR CAR START This is a plus matchup for the Rams running game as Carolina is ranked 23rd against running backs. Also, Henderson steps into the Rams' RB1 role with Akers ruled OUT for personal reasons. Hendersons has averaged over 13 ppg this year and last when Akers hasn't played. Put him in your lineups
Najee Harris RB PIT TB SIT Harris has struggled of late and has been giving up carries to Jaylen Warren. This week Harris removed the steel plate in his cleat and has declared himself 100%. However, Tampa's 2nd ranked defense against the RB awaits.
Zack Ertz TE ARI SEA START Seattle is the lowest ranked team vs oppsing TEs. Ertz should have a big day.
Taysom Hill TE NO CIN START Well, Hill blew up last week and it may have been a perfect strom of no Winston, no Thomas, no Olave. Well we get those conditions again. Don't expect 30 plus points, but a TD is probably more likely than not.
Dallas Goedert TE PHI DAL START The Eagles get a very difficult Dallas defense this week. However, Dallas has been most vulnerable to TE scoring so look for Goedert to be a focal point of the attack.
