In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Josh Allen each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going.

Player Pos Team Opp Start / Sit Comment
Joshua Dobbs QB MIN DEN START Dobbs looked good coming in without any 1st team snaps on a new team. Things should look even better in a nice matchup.
Kyler Murray QB ARI HOU START Murray demonstrated a solid capacity for scoring fantasy points last week, he gets a plus matchup in week 11
Devin Singletary RB HOU ARI START Singletary looked great last week and gets a good matchup this week. With Pearce questionable, Singletary could get another feature back week.
D'Onta Foreman RB CHI DET SIT It looks like Herbert may be back this week and although Foreman has played well enough to have earned snaps, Detroit is a difficult matchup and could likely end up in a negative game script push more action to Roschon or Khalil instead of D'Onta
Tony Pollard RB DAL CAR START IT's very disappointing Pollard qualifies to be a "start" recommendation instead of a set and forget running back this year. His useage in the passing game has been disappointing, but he should have a great positive game script this week vs a defense that is susceptible to the running game.
Ty Chandler RB MIN DEN START Chandler could get a decent split of snaps with Mattison questionable for this game. Denver is a good matchup if you need a bye week filler this week
Rashee Rice WR KC PHI START Rice continues to flirt with having a break out game. Philadelphia's run defense and strong offense tends to cater to opposing teams using their WRs more successfully. Rice is the Chiefs' top WR
