In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Josh Allen each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going.

Start / Sit Comment
Joshua Dobbs QB ARI BAL SIT Dobbs has been a pleasant surprise for the Cardinals. He's kept the offense somewhat functional. However, he gets Baltimores number 1 ranked defense vs the QB this week. This may be his final week as the starting QB depending on what happens with Kyler Murray.
Russell Wilson QB DEN KC SIT Once again, Wilson goes up against KC's 2nd ranked defense vs opposing QBs. Look for better options this week.
Gus Edwards RB BAL ARI START Edwards tends to lead the backfield in rush attempts and Arizona is one of the most generous defenses vs opposing running backs in a game that will likely end up in a positive game script for the Ravens.
Dameon Pierce RB HOU CAR START Pierce has been dissapointing and now sharing the backfield with Singletary. Carolina is very week vs the opposing RBs
D'Onta Foreman RB CHI LAC START Continue riding Foreman. Roschon will be back this week, so that could challenge his usage to a degree, but he's been too productie in another plus matchup to go away from him this week.
Jake Ferguson TE DAL LAR START Fergusson gets a plus matchup vs a defense that has been relatively solid vs the RB and WR positions. He should be utilized in Dallas' attack.
Treylon Burks WR TEN ATL SIT Burks is back this week, but leave him on your bench with the Titans being without Tannehill and the Falcons coming in as the third toughest defense vs opposing WRs.
