Week 8 Draft Kings

Quarterbacks

Trevor Siemian vs. Chargers ($5,100)
Week three Trevor Siemian marched into Paul Brown stadium and threw four touchdowns against the Bengals. He'll get to face a Chargers secondary that is wounded and allowing 293 yards per game. C.J. Anderson will be out and rookie Devontae Booker will be asked to have an increased role. Trevor Sieman is a solid play this week based on his near minimum price and home match up. So far this season despite missing some time, Siemian has thrown eight touchdowns and just three interceptions. With elite wide outs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders it is tough in this spot not to fire up Trevor Siemian in a tournament line up.

Jameis Winston vs. Raiders ($5,700)
Dollar for Dollar Jameis Winston may be the best week eight quarterback in fantasy land. Jacquizz Rodgers has carried the ball a ton, which has given the Buccaneers some solid balance on offense. Winston will have the luxury of facing a Raiders defense who are the worst team in the NFL against the pass. Las Vegas has the point total set at 49.5, which is the third highest of the week. Stacking Winston with Mike Evans is a wise decision Sunday. Derek Carr ($5,900 is also a Solid play at his price point. Winston can be used in both tournaments and cash games Sunday. He is averaging 19.5 fantasy points per game.

Running Backs

Devontae Booker vs. Chargers ($3,700)
Cheap running backs that are going to get heavy usage is one of the best gifts a DFS player can receive. Week eight is precisely the case with rookie Devontae Booker in Denver. Running back C.J. Anderson will be sidelined which will throttle Booker into a new expanded role. The Broncos are a run first team, so in all likelihood we can expect around 20 touches for the rookie out of Utah. It was only a matter of time until Booker got an expanded role, he should be a fixture in cash game lineup's.

Latavius Murray @ Tampa Bay ($4,500)
Latavius Murray came back Week 7 with vengeance! It is no secret that DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard are on his heels for touches in the Raiders backfield. Murray punched two touchdowns in a week ago as if he hadn't missed the two previous week with turf toe. There is some fantasy goodness in the Raiders-Buccaneers game Week 8 and Murray just might be the sneakiest play. The Buccaneers are giving up 113 yards per game, and have allowed seven rushing touchdowns. Murray doesn't have the athleticism at this point to " wow" anyone, but he should be pretty efficient.

Wide Receivers

Davante Adams @ Falcons ($4,900)
Week seven Davante Adams quieted many skeptics. He hauled in 13, receptions on 16 targets, with two touchdowns. It is amazing to thing that Jordy Nelson could be the number three or four option in the Packers passing game. Aaron Rodgers like so many historically great quarterbacks, liked the matchup's Adams was seeing against the Bears secondary. It will be tough for him to replicate his week seven performance, but at least we know his potential ceiling. His production has fluctuated to the point where people may view last week's performance as more of an anomaly rather than stats we can anticipate from here on out. On a non- Digging In The Crates mind set, Jordy Nelson will be highly over looked with all the love Cobb, Montgomery, and Adams will get. The Falcons are right there with the Raiders in being the worst of the worst against the pass.

Michael Thomas vs. Seattle ($5,000)
Michael Thomas has had 38 targets in the last four weeks and is now averaging 16.8 fantasy points per game. At $5,000 he is a step up from the Crate picks but I cant advocate for many sub-5K wide receivers this week, unless Corey Coleman ($4,500) plays. Through six games Thomas has 36 catches for 437 yards and three touchdowns. He'll get the Seahawks this week and that should scare many people away. Truth is, Richard Sherman can only chase around one wide out per snap and we know historically how Drew Brees will spread the ball around. Thomas can be played in cash games and tournaments week eight in a home game. He is second behind only Brandin Cooks in receiving for the Saints so far this season. For a rookie he has incredible ball tracking skills and is more polished than some expected so far.

Tight Ends

Zach Ertz @ Cowboys ($3,600)
There are two reason's why I like Zach Ertz Sunday. He'll be low owned, and the Cowboys have been awful against tight ends so far. Ertz only has five catches on nine targets since coming back from his rib injury. He had over 800 yards a season ago and it should be only a matter of time now until he goes off. The key is owning him before the masses do. Im old school and I hang out to hope in fantasy land, this pick is based on his price and matchup.

Gary Barnidge vs. Jets ($3,300)
It looks like Josh McCown may play Week 8, and if that is the case it benefits Gary Barnidge more than any other weapon on the Browns. Barnidge did his vast majority of damage a season ago when McCown was the quarterback. He has been pretty consistent so far, but has yet to have a touchdown or any performance resembling 2015. Barnidge has caught 20 of 27 passes over the last four weeks averaging a shade under 10 fantasy points per game on the season. He is a lock if McCown suits up.

Defense/Special Teams

Cardinals @ Panthers ($2,700)

I find it difficult not to look at the Arizon Cardinals this week given how many defensive plays they have created this season and their modest price on Draft Kings. They are averaging 10.9 fantasy points per game which is among the best. As a unit they have nine interceptions, five defensive fumble recoveries, twenty sacks, and a touchdown. I can over look the Cam Newton component here. It is a nice spot for a road defense against the NFC champions.
