Championship Weekend

DraftKings (2 Games)

Quarterback

Jimmy Garoppolo vs. Packers ($5,200)

It it no doubt that the 49ers offensive success this season has been in large part to their backfield and it’s sporadic production in a committee fashion. Jimmy G has the pass catching corps to switch things up Championship weekend at home. The 49ers trounced the Packers week 12 at home and Garoppolo was efficient but he can be mistake prone from time to time. The volatility makes him a boom or bust play, thus being great for a gpp. He can be used in a full game stack and obviously pair him with George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Emmanuel Sanders or even Kendrick Bourne.

Running back

Raheem Mostert vs. Packers ($4,300)

If you remember, Kyke Shanahan dragged Tevin Coleman to San Francisco after being together in Atlanta. Coleman showed up last week in stellar fashion, leading the Niners to a routing of the Vikings. Raheem Mostert has been dealing with a calf injury and dollar for dollar has been the most consistent running back for the 49ers all season. The masses will flock to Tevin Coleman after last weeks showing, making Mostert a solid pivot at a discount. He’s projected to have anywhere from 10-15 touches and is more than capable of finding pay dirt. I love him in tournaments.

Wide receiver

A.J. Brown at Chiefs ($5,200)

The Titans and Chiefs had a shoot out week 10 and interestingly enough, A.J. Brown was silenced. The game was also in Tennessee and Brown was still getting adjusted to the NFL. It would make sense to continue to ride Derrick Henry but if they are going to keep this game close, chances are Ryan Tannehill is going to have to sling the rock. That in itself is a scary notion. Brown has been quiet the past couple weeks and this could scare people away and it could also be viewed as a time to capitalize on that. The Titans lack an arsenal of weaponry outside of Henry and Brown making them somewhat of a predictable offense. That said, Brown has been as good as any wide receiver at times this season and his ceiling is massive. He’s too volatile for cash games but he is a great GPP play.

Tight End

Jimmy Graham @ 49ers ($3,700)

Let me be clear. Two of the top tight ends will be playing in Championship weekend. We could easily use George Kittle and Travis Kelce in lineups together because it’s a good way to diversify our lineups. If we are NOT paying all the way up then we have to look at Jimmy Graham and Jonnu Smith. I’ll side with Graham who will be the least owned out of the four more than likely. Aarons Rodgers is going to need to find someone outside of Davante Adams to throw to if the Packers intend on winning on the road. I view him as great salary saver if we’re going to spend top dollar on four to five studs sunday. Note that he is touchdown dependent.

Defense/Special Teams

Titans @ Chiefs ($2,000)

Call me crazy, or call me open minded and adventurous. Truth is, the Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is a defensive minded head coach and that has helped carry them so far. The Titans defense was able to shut down Lamar Jackson last week on the road and he was unstoppable in 2019. They are nearly free and will be very low owned for good reason. If we are multi entering games then it’s a GREAT way to swerve in GPPs and Showdowns. I think the Titans defense can provide as much output as any defense this week and they are hot. I’ll have a share or two.
