Dollar Free Agents Week 6

Gardner Minshew- QB- Colts

If your quarterback is off in week 6, look to Gardner Minshew in free agency for a dollar. Anthony Richardson is expected to miss Sunday’s game, and Minshew has a favorable matchup against a Jaguars defense that has allowed the 7th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. The Colts have Jonathan Taylor back, who should start to open opportunities for Minshew and the passing attack. If you need a QB in week, Minshew is your guy.

K.J. Osborn- WR- Vikings

With Justin Jefferson expected to miss a few games, you may be able to get K.J. Osborn for a buck. Osborn had nine targets for five receptions and 49 yards in last week’s loss to the Chiefs. He’s slated to be the number two wide out in Minnesota behind rookie Jordan Addison. Osborn has a quality matchup against a Bears’ defense Sunday, whose defense has allowed the 11th most fantasy points to wide receivers this year. Look to pick up Osborn this week.

Jordan Mason- RB- 49ers

While many fantasy owners thought Elijah Mitchell would be the primary backup in San Francisco to Christian McCaffrey, Jordan Mason is making his case to why he should be moved up on the depth chart. Last week against the Cowboys, Mason had 10 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown. Mitchell is ALWAYS dealing with injuries, and this time his knee is keeping him out of multiple games. With Mason stepping up, he may be worth picking up and keeping on your bench all year. The 49ers have a tough matchup against the Browns this week, but Mason is worth considering adding so you can have him for the remainder of the year. Get him today for a buck.

Nelson Agholor- WR- Ravens

Even with Odell Beckham and Rashad Bateman back for the Ravens, Nelson Agholor played the second most snaps last Sunday only behind rookie Zay Flowers. He managed to catch four passes for 64 yards. Given Beckham and Bateman’s injury history, I would bet on Agholor having a major role for the Ravens this year. Baltimore has a advantageous matchup this week. The Titans have given up the 8th most fantasy points to wide receivers this year. You can get Agholor this week for a buck, and he might come in handy this year.

Logan Thomas- TE- Commanders

Logan Thomas and the Commanders have another promising matchup this week that makes Thomas a prime free agent to pick up for a dollar. Last week against the Bear, Thomas saw 11 targets and recorded nine receptions for 77 yards and a score. Washington faces the Falcons this week, whose defense has given up the 2nd most fantasy points to tight ends this year. This might be the last week you can get Thomas for a buck. Get him today before this price goes up.

Rico Dowdle- RB- Cowboys

Although Cowboys’ Rico Dowdle hasn’t produced much on the field this year, he’s solidified himself as the number two running back over Deuce Vaughn. After last week’s horrific performance against the 49ers, Dallas needs to run the ball more, and Dowdle could be the beneficiary by getting more touches. Tony Pollard will get the most carries, but Dowdle will be the short yardage back the Cowboys need to move the chains. Dallas has a encouraging matchup against the Chargers this week, whose defense has given up the 10th most fantasy points to running backs this year. Get Dowdle for a buck this week if you are desperate for a running back.
