Dollar Free Agents Week 4
Dollar Free Agents - Week 4
Andy Dalton- QB- Panthers
If rookie quarterback Bryce Young can’t go against the Vikings, Andy Dalton is worth picking up and starting in your week 4 lineup. Last week against the Seahawks, Dalton threw for 361 yards and two touchdowns. The Panthers face Minnesota in week 4, whose defense has allowed the 3rd most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. If your quarterback has a tough matchup this weekend, then look to Dalton for a dollar.
Dontayvion Wicks- WR- Packers
One rookie wide receiver who is getting more playing time and targets than expected is the former Virginia player Dontayvion Wicks. With Christian Watson dampened by an injury, Wicks has seen his targets go up every week. He scored a touchdown in week 2 against the Falcons, and last week Wicks recorded six targets, four receptions and 45 yards. The Packers have a tough matchup this week against the Lions, but fantasy managers should monitor Wicks’ playing time and targets on Thursday night. He might be worth adding now in dynasty and keeper leagues.
Joshua Palmer- WR Chargers
With Mike Williams expected to be out for the year with a torn ACL, Joshua Palmer might see more playing time. Last week against the Vikings, Palmer had four receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. Palmer has noticeably played more than rookie wide out Quintin Johnston. This might be a temporary trend considering Johnston was a first-round pick. But if you need a wide out for the next couple weeks, Palmer looks to be the better and cheaper option. Get him for a buck today.
Jaleel McLaughlin- RB- Broncos
While nothing seems to be going right for the Broncos on offense or defense, fantasy owners in dynasty and keeper leagues may want to look at Jaleel McLaughlin this week. He’s not going to overtake Javonte Williams or Samaje Perine on the depth chart any time soon, but if the Broncos continue to lose, expect McLaughlin to get more chances. Last week, he had a career high five carries for 15 yards. He’s starting to see more touches, but McLaughlin won’t be worth more than a bench prospect until later in the season. You can pick him up now for a dollar.
Matt Breida- RB- Giants
Depending on Saquan Barkley’s status for Sunday’s matchup against the Seahawks, Matt Breida might be a good option if you need a running back. Breida and the Giants had a tough matchup against the 49ers defense last week, which led to Breida not getting a ton of touches. But this week the Giants face Seattle, whose defense has allowed the 10th most fantasy points to running backs this season. Even if Barkley plays, I expect Breida to see some playing time. Pick up and start Breida this week if Barkley can’t go Monday night.
Donald Parham Jr.- Tight End- Chargers
While tight ends aren’t blowing up the stat sheet this year, fantasy owners may want to consider picking up Donald Parham Jr. He’s currently the sixth best tight end in full PPR leagues, and he’s available in over 90 percent of all fantasy football sites. Last week against the Vikings, he had two catches for two touchdowns. With Mike Williams out for the year, Parham is in line to see many more targets. The Chargers face the Raiders this week, whose defense has given up the 5th most fantasy points to tight ends this year. Get Parham now for a buck.
