Dollar Free Agents Week 10
Taylor Heinicke- QB- Falcons
If you need a quarterback this week, Falcon’s quarterback Taylor Heinicke has a favorable matchup against the Cardinals. Last week in his first start of the season, Heinicke threw for 268 yards and a touchdown. This week, the Falcons face Arizona’s defense, who has allowed the 9th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Head Coach Arthur Smith said Heinicke will remain the starter for Sunday’s matchup. If you’re desperate for a quarterback, you can get Heinicke for a buck.
Keaton Mitchell- RB- Ravens
He might fly under the radar in some leagues, but Keaton Mitchell should be looked at this week by all fantasy managers. Last week against the Seahawks, he had nine rushes for 138 yards and a touchdown. He’s still being out snapped by Gus Edwards and Justice Hill, but he should continue to see opportunities if he keeps up the production. The Ravens face the Browns this week, who has one of the tougher defenses against the run in the league. But pick up and hold on to Mitchell for a couple weeks to see how the backfield shakes up in Baltimore.
Ty Chandler- RB- Vikings
With Cam Akers likely out with a torn Achilles’ tendon, Ty Chandler is expected to take over as the second running back for the Vikings. Alexander Mattison will continue to be the primary back, but Chandler should get plenty of opportunities in the remainder of the season. So far on the year, he’s carried the ball eight times for 42 yards and has five receptions for 43 yards. If anything happens to Mattison, Chandler could become a valuable fantasy football commodity. Pick up for a dollar and keep Chandler on your bench for a few weeks.
Jack Stoll- TE- Eagles
Dallas Goedert is expected to miss some time at tight end for the Eagles, which leads Jack Stoll as the likely candidate to take over. He hasn’t done much this year, but he hasn’t had many opportunities either. After the bye week, the Eagles face the Chiefs, which could end up being a high scoring game considering both offenses are extremely talented. Stoll could end up a being a key part in the offense for the Eagles until Goedert is ready to return. He will likely be available for a dollar next week if you want to wait a week.
Darnell Mooney- WR- Bears
Bears’ wide receiver Darnell Mooney had his best game this past Sunday since the first week for the season. He caught a season-high five receptions for a season-high 82 yards. He’s been more involved in the offense over the last four games, recording 12 receptions for 203 yards. The Bears face Carolina this Thursday, whose defense has been pretty good at keeping wide receivers’ fantasy points at bay, but Mooney could bring a spark to the offense that is much needed in Chicago. It’s not clear if Justin Fields will be back in the lineup for Thursday’s game, which might impact Mooney significantly considering they haven’t had much of a connection this year. Mooney may be worth picking up for a buck and starting regardless of who’s playing quarterback. Get him today.
Khalil Shakir- WR- Bills
The Bills’ second year wide receiver Khalil Shakir may be worth spending a dollar on this week. In his last three games, he’s seen 14 targets, 14 receptions and 184 yards. Shakir is starting to solidify his spot as a good slot receiver, which may bode well for fantasy mangers in full PPR leagues. If you need a prospect in a keeper or dynasty league, Shakir is someone you can get for a buck today and might become one of Josh Allen’s favorite targets soon. Get him this week while he’s cheap.
