Dollar Free Agents 2022 Week 16
Nick Foles- QB- Colts
If you need a quarterback in your week 16 playoff matchup, Nick Foles is a dollar option. The Colts decided to bench Matt Ryan for a second time and play Foles against the Chargers. The Charger's defense has given up the 14th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Foles hasn't played much since 2020. In fact, he only played one game last season. But out of all the dollar free agents, he has the best matchup, and he has talent around him to make for a potential big fantasy day. Get him and start him for a buck.
Chris Moore- WR- Texans
One player who seems to be getting more targets is Chris Moore of the Houston Texans. He's seen 20 targets in the last two games. In week 15, he only caught four balls for 42 yards, but he saw nine targets. In week 14 against the Cowboys, he saw 11 targets, caught 10 balls, and recorded 124 yards. The Texans face the Titans this week, whose defense has given up the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Get Moore this week and start him.
K.J. Osborn- WR- Vikings
Vikings' wide out K.J. Osborn should be someone worth considering this week. Last game against the Colts, he had 10 receptions for 157 yards and one touchdown. He also recorded 16 targets and has touchdowns in back-to-back games. The Vikings face the Giants, whose defense has given up the 12th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this year. If the Vikings find themselves playing from behind, Osborn could end up having a huge game. Get him today if you need a wide receiver this week.
James Cook- RB- Bills
I feel like I've been waiting for James Cook to have a breakout game all year. I think it could happen this week when the Bills face the Bears. Chicago has given up the 5th most fantasy points to running backs this season. Last week against the Dolphins, Cook had five carries for 34 yards and caught three passes for five yards and a touchdown. Cook is averaging 5.3 yards per carry, but the Bills continue to utilize Devin Singletary, who is only averaging 4.3 yards per attempt. If you need a running back this week, take a risk and pick up Cook for a buck.
Deon Jackson- RB- Colts
With Jonathan Taylor headed to the IR, Deon Jackson should be looked at this week. He had 13 carries for 55 yards last week after Taylor left the game with a high ankle sprain. Jackson was the primary backup for Taylor earlier in the season and recorded a quality fantasy outing in week six against the Jaguars. This time, he will compete for playing time with Zach Moss, who out carried Jackson 24-13 last Saturday. Moss will most likely be targeted by fantasy owners during the waiver wire, which will leave Jackson to be available for a dollar.
Isaiah Likely- TE- Ravens
Ever since Mark Andrews came back, Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely hasn't seen that much playing time and targets. That may change this week after Devin Duvernay got hurt during practice on Tuesday. If Duvernay is unavailable this week, the Ravens will need pass-catchers and Likely could fill that role. The Ravens face the Falcons this week, whose defense has given up the 4th most fantasy points to tight ends this season. He's not the best option this week, but you can get him for a dollar if you are desperate for a starting tight end.
