Geno Smith- QB- Seahawks

It might be past time to pick up Geno Smith, but more than likely he is available for a dollar this week. Smith has been one of the surprising fantasy quarterbacks this season, recording over 1300 yards and nine touchdowns through the first five games. Last week he threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns against the Saints. The Seahawks face the Cardinals this week, whose defense has given up the 9th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Pick up Smith and start him this week for a buck.

Hayden Hurst- TE- Bengals

Cincinnati tight end Hayden Hurst should be targeted by fantasy owners. He has two consecutive games with a touchdown, and last week against the Ravens he recorded seven targets, six catches, and 53 yards. He currently is the 11th best tight ends in full PPR leagues. Hurst is a great pick up if you have a tight end on a bye week. Get him today and start him in week 6.

Marquez Valdez-Scantling- WR- Chiefs

Former Green Bay Packer Marquez Valdez-Scantling and Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes is beginning to get on the same page. Last Monday against the Raiders, Valdez-Scantling had six receptions for 90 yards. He continues to see plenty of targets, recording at least five since week 2. The Chiefs face the Bills this weekend, which could turn into a shootout like last year's playoff matchup between the two teams. Pick up Valdez-Scantling this week and he could be an asset as the season goes on.

Alex Pierce- WR- Colts

Rookie wider receiver Alec Pierce should be added to your team this week if he's available. Last week against the Broncos, he had eight receptions for 81 yards. He has at least five targets in the last three games. Colts' quarterback Matt Ryan has struggled this year, but Pierce has been one of the more reliable players for Ryan in the last couple games. Pierce is better in full PPR formats, but he should be targeted in keeper or dynasty leagues. Pick him up this week for the long-term.

Ben Skowronek- WR- Rams

The second year player out of Notre Dame, Ben Skowronek may be someone worth adding to your roster for a buck. He hasn't recorded a touchdown this season, but he's becoming one of Matt Stafford's consistent targets. Last week against the Cowboys, Skowronek saw eight targets and caught six receptions for 41 yards. Number two wide out Allen Robinson III hasn't got on the same page as Stafford through five games, which leaves an opening for Skowronek. He might be a shot-in-the-dark dynasty or keeper prospect, but you can get him this week for a dollar and see if he turns into a decent fantasy player.

James Cook- RB- Bills

Another dynasty or keeper prospect to think about is James Cook for the Bills. He's not getting enough playing time to be anything but a prospect, but he is becoming the clear-cut number two running back behind Devin Singletary. Last week against the Steelers, Cook had four carries for 31 yards and a touchdown. If Singletary goes down, Cook could make his case for the starting running back job. Cook is a good prospect that you can get for a buck.
