Demario Douglas

- NE- Patriots

Even though the Patriots have plenty of wide receivers on their roster to choose from, Demario Douglas might stand out the most. He only logged 33 snaps in his debut last Sunday, but he managed to see seven targets and catch four balls for 40 yards. If DeVante Parker returns this week against the Dolphins, Douglas could still see a larger role because of his skill set. The Patriots face Miami on Sunday night, whose defense ranks 26th in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers after the first week. Douglas is good player to pick up this week in dynasty and keeper leagues.

Rashid Shaheed

- WR- Saints

While the Saints have plenty of weapons on offense this season, Rashid Shaheed was the unlikely wide out who had the best fantasy line on the team. Last week against the Titans, he had five receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown. It’s still too early to predict whether Shaheeds role will stay consistent, but he had a fantastic start to his season. The Saints face a Panther’s defense that gave up very few passing yards last week. But you can take a risk on Shaheed for a dollar and see if he becomes one of Derick Carr’s favorite targets this year.

Hunter Henry

- TE- Patriots

After a terrible season last year, Patriots tight end Hunter Henry seems to be back on track with his quarterback Mac Jones. On Sunday against the Eagles, Henry caught five balls for 56 yards and a score. Last season, Henry’s fantasy numbers came to an all-time low partly because Jones was hurt or on the bench for a large part of the year. When Jones was healthy in 2021, Henry recorded a career high nine touchdowns. Assuming Jones is healthy this year, Henry could be in for a comeback season. Get him for a buck today.

Tutu Atwell

- WR- Rams

With Cooper Kupp on the IR, Tutu Atwell was a starting wide receiver last Sunday against the Seahawk and caught six receptions for 119 yards. He is likely a temporary fantasy option until week five when Kupp returns from injury, but he could come in useful if you need a wide receiver for the first few weeks. Atwell outshined the other starting wide receiver Van Jefferson, who only had four catches for 24 yards. If Atwell continues to play well, he might be a bale to solidify his place as the second starting even after Kupp returns. Get him today for a buck.

Gus Edwards

- RB- Ravens

Many fantasy owners will be bidding on Justice Hill this week with J.K. Dobbins out for the year. But Gus Edwards will be available for a dollar this week and he might end up being the number one running back for the Ravens when it’s all said and done. Edwards recorded the same number of carries as Hill but outrushed him by 23 yards. Edwards is the veteran running back that has filled the starting role many times in the last couple years. Pick up Edwards today for a buck and let other fantasy managers bid on Hill.

Baker Mayfield

- QB- Buccaneers

If you had Aaron Rodgers and need a quarterback this week, Baker Mayfield may be a good option for one game. He had a successful debut against the Vikings last game when he helped lead his team to a comeback win in the second half. He threw 21 completions for 173 yards and two scores. The Bucs face the Bears on Sunday, whose defense gave up a ton of fantasy points to Jordan Love in week 1. Pick up and start Mayfield this week if you are desperate for a QB.

Kyren Williams

- RB- Rams

Although Kyren Williams was out touched by Cam Akers last week, he might be someone worth picking up a for a buck. Williams had 15 carries for 52 yards and two scores in the Ram’s victory over the Seahawks. Akers looks to be the starting running back if he’s healthy, but Williams should continue to see a good number of touches given Akers’ injury history. The Rams have a horrible matchup against the 49ers this week. But pick up Williams and hold on to him for the first part of the season. His role with the Rams could expand dramatically if anything happens to Akers.
