Tutu Atwell 2023 Outlook
Atwell and the Rams know it’s time for the third-year pro to prove his mettle to the franchise. After playing just eight games as a rookie, largely as a returner, Atwell suffered a season-ending injury at midseason in 2021. While he was far more healthy -- and therefore more productive -- a season ago, Atwell didn’t exactly turn in many huge fantasy efforts. He hauled in a 62-yard touchdown catch for his only reception of the game in a Nov. 20 loss at New Orleans. Two weeks later, Atwell gained a career-best 71 yards from scrimmage on two catches and four rushing attempts. The Rams struggled mightily last season after winning the Super Bowl after the 2021 season, with injuries one of the culprits. Matthew Stafford struggled to stay healthy, but the Rams are optimistic his full recovery from a spinal cord contusion can revitalize him toward a bounce-back season. Atwell is looking for a rebound of his own as he aims to bring more consistency to the LA attack.
