Allen Lazard- WR- Packers

If you need a wide receiver to plug into your championship-week lineup, Allen Lazard might be someone worth looking at this waiver wire. Last week against the Browns, he had two receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. The Packers face the Vikings this week, whose defense has given up the 2nd most fantasy points to wide receivers this year. Lazard has a chance to score a touchdown this week, and you can get him for a buck.

Braxton Berrios- WR- Jets

Jets' wide receiver Braxton Berrios is someone worth looking at this week. He has double digit fantasy points in the last three games. Last week against the Jaguars, he returned a kickoff for a touchdown and also caught five balls for 37 yards. It's unclear what this role will be for the team next year, but right now he's the hottest player on the Jets. Get him for a buck this week.

Brandon Bolden- RB- Patriots

Depending on Patriots running back Rhomandre Stevenson's availability this week, Brandon Bolden might be a good player to pick up for a buck. Although Damien Harris dominated the snaps and carries last week, Bolden might get an increased workload against Jacksonville. I can see the Patriots blowing out the Jaguars and inserting Bolden into the lineup so that Harris can get some rest. If you need a flier runnin back this week, Bolden is a good pick up if Stevenson misses week 17.

Boston Scott- RB- Eagles

Since Miles Sanders is out in week 17, Boston Scott might be someone worth considering picking up. Jordan Howard should get most of the carries, but Scott will most likely serve as the third down back. Last week after Sanders left the game with a hand injury, Scott had 12 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles face Washington on Sunday, whose defense is struggling of late. Scott might be your saving grace if you need someone for one week. Get him for a buck.

Cameron Brate- TE- Buccaneers

Chris Godwin is on IR and Mike Evans is week to week, which might help Cameron Brate be integrated in the offense. The Buccaneers ran a lot more two tight end formations on offense last week, and Brate was the recipient of more playing time. Even though he only had two receptions for 11 yards, he managed to score a touchdown which was Tom Brady's only score of the game. Rob Gronkowski will continue to be the main target, but Brate should see more opportunities for the last two weeks of the year.

Trey Lance- QB- 49ers

There is a good chance that Jimmy Garopollo doesn't play this week, and Trey Lance could get his second start of the season for the 49ers when they face Houston. Lance could be your team's saving grace if you don't have a quarterback due to injury or Covid. He has a favorable matchup against the Texans, and his running ability makes him an automatic top 10 quarterback this week. If you need a QB for your championship matchup, get Lance for a dollar.
