Player Pos Team Opp Start / Sit Comment
Aaron Rodgers QB GB PHI START Philly's defensive backs have been the weakness of this defense. Rodgers has yet to put in a top 15 QB play this year; this might be the week.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling WR GB PHI START Leveraging off the matchup being strong for Green Bay's wide receivers, I'll recommned both the number 2 and number 3 plays there thinking both have a chance to put in a startable number.
Geronmio Allison WR GB PHI START
Miles Sanders RB PHI GB START Green Bay has given up some rushing numbers, but have played against some run oriented teams (CHI, MIN and DEN). On average, to RBs (not counting Tarik Cohen who played slot receiver that game) GB has yielded: 23.7 carries, 120 yards and a TD plus 7 targets, 6 receptions 46.7 yards and 0 TDs. That's nearly 20 fantasy points allowed to RBs per game. Sanders usage seems to be increasing, and was used on some deeper routes last week. Both Chicago, Minnesota and Denver all found some success passing to the running back. That should allow Sanders to put in a startable number.
Nelson Agholor WR PHI GB START It sounds like Jeffery will be back, but Agholor should still be involved enough to play in week 4.

In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Patrick Mahomes each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going. This year I'm going to be looking at different ways to integrate daily fantasy pricing and Vegas odds into my decision making process. Good Luck this year!
