Player Pos Tm Opp Start/Sit Comment
Jared Cook TE OAK DEN START IT's risky recommending Cook, he's never followed up big games with another big game. But, Denver has shown a lot of vulnerability to opposing tight ends.
Case Keenum QB DEN OAK START Oakland didn't put up a lot of resistance last week. Without Mack, they had difficulty getting a pass rush. This should allow Keenum to put in starter numbers.
T.J. Yeldon RB JAC NE START At this point, it seems Fournette will be OUT; if that's the case, Yeldon makes a solid play givin his usage in the passing game.
Peyton Barber RB TAM PHI SIT Philadelphia can shut down Tampa's run game and Barber isn't used much in the passing game. Be careful with Barber this week.
Mike Williams WR LAC BUF START Williams played the fourth most snaps last week at WR for the Chargers. He gets Buffalo's defense that Baltimore destroyed last week. Look for Williams to have a good chance for a startable number this week.
Royce Freeman rB DEN OAK sTART Freeman disappointed last week with both his role and final fantasy ouptput. Look for a bounce back week this week.
Nelson Agholor WR PHI tB START Agholor established himself as the top target last week; he gets a nice matchup against the injury riddled Tampa defense. Use him again.

In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Drew Brees each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going. This year I'm going to be looking at different ways to integrate daily fantasy pricing and Vegas odds into my decision making process. Good Luck this year!
