Player Pos Team Opponent Start / Sit Comment
Austin Hooper TE ATL PHI START Philadelphia is below average vs the TE. Hoooper in his third year could get more involved. If you're hurting at TE, try Hooper.
Darren Sproles RB PHI ATL START Atlanta is really bad against the pass catching back. Assuming Sproles returns to his role, he could have a big game.
Baltimore D/ST D/ST BAL BUF START Baltimore's defense looks good. Buffalo's offense is a work in progress. I like Baltimore to feast here.
Jordan Wilkins RB IND CIN START With Mack looking doubtful for this week, Wilkins will get the nod. He's a viable start in the re-formed Andrew Luck offense.
Tyler Eifert TE CIN IND START Similar to Reed, Eifert appears to be healthy, use him while he is. He draws a traditionally weak defense vs the TE in the Colts.
Jordan Reed TE WAS ARI START Start him while he's healthy. You drafted him as a rotational starter, use him week 1.
Keelan Cole WR JAC NYG START Cole finsihed the year strong averaging 20 ppg including the two that Marquise Lee didn't play in. He gets one of last year's most giving defenses to the WR in the Giants.
James White RB NE HOU START With Michel and Burkhead both a bit dinged, look for White to have a role in week 1. He's always a solid PPR player.

In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Drew Brees each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going. This year I'm going to be looking at different ways to integrate daily fantasy pricing and Vegas odds into my decision making process. Good Luck this year!
