Ty Johnson- RB- Jets

Michael Carter is expected to be out for a couple weeks, which will make Jets' Ty Johnson a good player to pick up for a buck. Tevin Coleman should see a good amount of the snaps, but Johnson has been the consistent third down back this season. The Jets face the Texans this week, whose defense has given up the 7th most fantasy points to running backs this year. Expect Johnson to see five or six receptions out of the backfield this weekend.

Tony Jones Jr.- RB- Saints

There is a real chance that Tony Jones Jr. gets the start on Thursday against the Bills if Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram can't play. Kamara hasn't practiced since last week and the Saints ultimately decided he wasn't ready to play in week 11. Ingram missed practice in the first two days this week. If both are out, Jones is someone worth picking up and starting depending on your running back depth. We won't know who will play until right before game time, so be ready to pick up Jones for a buck if Kamara and Ingram are ruled out.

Austin Hooper-TE- Browns

If you are desperate for a tight end in week 12, Austin Hopper might be someone worth looking at. He has at least five targets in three of the last four games, along with four receptions in each of those games. Browns face the Ravens on Sunday night, whose defense has given up the fifth most fantasy points to tight ends this year. Tight end is a hard position to predict this year, but I would take my chances this week with Hooper, and it will only cost you a dollar.

Van Jefferson Jr- WR- Rams

Even with the signing of Odell Beckham Jr., Van Jefferson Jr. should see a good number of opportunities for the rest of the year. Jefferson is an explosive player who has a ton of big-play ability. Quarterback Matthew Stafford loves to throw the ball down the field, which bodes well for Jefferson. He has at least six targets in the last four games and three receptions in those games. Beckham has a long injury history, which could promote Jefferson to the number two wide out in the future. Pick up Jefferson now for a buck.

Cedrick Wilson- WR- Cowboys

After Amari Cooper was inactive due to covid last week, Cedrick Wilson received a good number of targets. He only caught four balls for 36 yards, but he saw seven balls thrown toward him. Ceedee Lamb is still questionable with a concussion, so there could be a good chance that Wilson starts the game on the other side of Michael Gallup. Even if Lamb plays, Wilson could have a big impact on the game against the Raiders Thursday afternoon. You can pick up and start Wilson this week for a dollar if you need a wide receiver this week.

Andy Dalton-QB-Bears

With Justin Fields unlikely to suit up on Thanksgiving Day, Andy Dalton might be someone worth looking into this week if you need a quarterback to start. Last week when he filled in for Fields, he threw for 201 yards and two scores. The Bears face the Lions on Thursday, whose pass defense has ranked in the middle of the NFL. Dalton has good upside on turkey day, and you can get him for a buck this week.
