Startem sitem 2020 Sunday Week 6

In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Patrick Mahomes each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going.

Player Pos Team Opp Start / Sit Comment
Evan Engram TE NYG WAS START Washington has been a solid defense, but one of their weaknesses has been giving up targets to opposing Tes and has yielded 5 TDs so far this year to opposing TEs. Evan Engram is decent play this week at a position that, again, isn't very deep this year.
Laviska Shenault WR JAC DET START Detroit has been vulnerable to opposing WRs this year and Shenault is becoming more involved in the offense each week. This is a good place to put Laviska in your lineup.
Chase Claypool WR PIT CLE START Claypool had a breakout game last week when Diontae Johnson went out with a back injury early. As of this writing, Johnson has been ruled OUT for Sunday. That'll guarantee Claypool enough playing time this week to run him into your lineup and hope for a repeat performance (or at least a startable week) against a decent matchup in Cleveland.
Brandon Aiyuk WR SFO LAR SIT Aiyuk has looked really good, but the Rams have been shutting down opposing WRs. This isn't the matchup to try Aiyuk if you can avoid it.
Trey Burton TE IND CIN START Cincinnati has been a plus matchup for opposing TEs. Mo Alie-Cox has been ruled out; this should yield enough targets to Burton to have a startable week.
Alexander Mattison RB MIN ATL START With Dalvin Cook OUT this week, it's time to run Mattison into your lineups especially in this plus matchup.
Kirk Cousins QB MIN ATL START Cousins gets a good matchup this week. Atlanta has had a turnover in the coaching staff which could trigger much needed to changes, but for now, we'll assume this is still a great matchup for QBs.
