Startem sitem 2020 Sunday Week 4

In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Patrick Mahomes each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going.

Player Pos Team Opp Start / Sit Comment
Jared Goff QB LAR NYG START Goff gets the Giants this week. The Giants are off to a rough start. Their defense probably isn't as bad as their reputation so far, but Goff has too many weapons to not put up a decent week.
Derek Carr QB LV BUF SIT Sit Carr this week. He's down both rookie WRs and the matchup with Buffalo is brutal.
Carson Wentz QB PHI SF SIT Wentz is in a tough spot this week. Virtually all his WRs are injured and so is Dallas Goedert. He gets one of the better defenses to matchup with this week. It might be a long week for Wentz. He'll need to rely on his legs, Ertz, Greg Ward and the pass catching from his running backs.
Miles Gaskin RB MIA SEA START This should be a negative game script for Miami and Gaskin has done an excellent job in the receiving department for the Dolphins look for him to get 4 - 5 catches and have a solid ppr fantasy day.
Robert Tonyan TE GB ATL START Tonyan emerged as an important piece last week and with Lazard out he may be counted on again. Jimmy Graham and Dalton Schultz each had big games vs the ATL defense the last two weeks. This should be a good spot for Tonyan.
Andy Isabella WR ARI Carolina START Isabella is creeping into the rotation and is doing a lot with his targets including 2 TDs last week. Hopkins has missed practice all week and will be a game time decision. If Hopkins doesn't play and/or Christian Kirk sits again, Isabella should get enough snaps to provide startable numbers for you.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling WR GB ATL START Lazard is OUT and Davante Adams is questionable. MVS should have his opportunities this week vs ATL
