Dollar Free Agents 2021 Week 9

Mike White- QB- Jets

Unless quarterback Zach Wilson has an extremely quick recovery, Mike White might be someone worth rostering this week when the Jets face the Colts. Last week against the Bengals, White threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught a two-point conversion off a trick play. White will have a good matchup in week 9 against the Colts, whose defense has given up the 10th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this week. Last week might have been a fluke, but it's worth spending a dollar this week just in case it wasn't.

Adrian Peterson- RB- Titans

Since Derrick Henry is going to miss at least six weeks, Adran Peterson might be someone spending a dollar on. The Titans signed Peterson on Monday after placing Derrick Henry on the injured reserve list. Jeremy McNichols is likely to get the start, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Peterson getting more carries as the season moves forward. The Titans face a tough Rams' defense on Sunday, but Peterson may be worth a start if you are desperate for a running back. Pick him up for a buck this week.

Josiah Deguara- TE- Packers

After Robert Tonyan left last Thursday night game against the Cardinals, it was Josiah Deguara who saw the most targets at tight end. He only caught two passes for twenty yards, but I think it's more noteworthy that Mercedes Lewis only saw one target. The Packers face the Chiefs on Sunday, whose defense has given up the most fantasy points to tight ends this year. With Tonyan landing on IR, Deguara could end up being a solid tight end option.

Cedrick Wilson- WR- Cowboys

The Cowboys third wide receiver Cedrick Wilson is worth rostering as long as Michael Gallup is recovering from injury Last week against the Vikings, he recorded three receptions for 84 yards and a score. He has 10 targets in the last two weeks. If anything happens to Amari Cooper of Ceedee Lamb, Wilson is an instant starter for most fantasy teams. If you have space on your roster, you should pick up Wilson for a buck this week as long as Gallup is out.

Ty Johnson- RB- Jets

New York running back Ty Johnson is worth rostering in full PPR leagues this week for a buck. Last week against the Bengals, he had five receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. In the last two weeks, he has 11 receptions and 13 targets. Rookie running back Michael Carter should get the majority of the carries, but Johnson is seeing a ton of snaps on passing downs. The Jets are usually playing from behind, and Johnson could be the recipient of some garbage time fantasy points. Pick him up in PPR leagues this week for a buck.

Bryan Edwards- WR- Raiders

Raiders' wide receiver Bryan Edwards might see more targets after the horrific news involving Henry Ruggs III. Edwards had been consistently involved in the offense ranging from three to six targets per game, but those numbers are expected to go up. Last game against the Eagles, he had three receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders face the Giants this week, whose defense has allowed the 10th most fantasy points to wide receivers this year. Pick up Edwards this week.
