Travis Benjamin- WR- Chargers
Wide receiver Travis Benjamin might be a player fantasy should target in the waiver wire this week. Last week against the Broncos, he only had one reception, but he took it to the house for 42 yards. He also had a punt return that he returned for a touchdown to make it a good day in fantasy. So far on the season he has 14 receptions for 240 yards and two scores. This week the Chargers face the Patriots, whose defense has allowed the third most fantasy points to wide outs this year. The Patriots like to cover the best receiver on the opposing with two defenders, which should allow Benjamin to see additional targets this Sunday. If you have a receiver on a bye week, pick up and start Benjamin for a buck.

Jared Cook- TE- Raiders
The Raiders tight end Jared Cook is starting to gain Derick Carr’s trust as the season moves forward. Last week against the Chiefs, Cook had six receptions for 107 yards. He also drew a pass inference to get the ball on the 1 yard line late in the fourth, and drew a holding penalty that gave the Raiders and additional shot at the end zone with no time remaining. The Raiders face Buffalo this weekend, whose defense has given up the ninth most points to opposing tight ends this season. Cook is still available in a ton of leagues, pick him up for a buck today.

Matt Moore- QB- Dolphins
Backup quarterback Matt Moore produced good fantasy numbers last weekend when he came into the game for an injured Jay Cutler. He completed 13 passes for 188 yards and two scores. If you have a quarterback on a bye week, you may want to consider picking up and starting Moore. He led the Dolphins to a comeback victory last week against the Jets and the team had its highest point total all season. Pick up Moore now for a buck if you need to get a backup quarterback for an upcoming bye week.

Kenny Stills- WR- Dolphins
Another Dolphin player that fantasy owners should consider picking up for a buck is Kenny Stills. In DeVante Parker’s absence, Stills has produced quality fantasy numbers. Last week against the Jets, he had six receptions for 85 yards and two touchdowns. In the last two weeks, he has 10 receptions for 134 yards and three touchdowns. He also had the game winning catch for the Dolphins last week. The Dolphins face the Ravens this Thursday, whose defense has given up nine touchdowns through the air. Stills is available for a buck this week.

Rod Smith- RB- Cowboys
With the anticipation of Ezekiel Elliott getting suspended at some point this season, fantasy owners might want to look at picking up Rod Smith. While everyone is assuming Alfred Morris or Darren McFadden will the get the additional workload when Elliot is ruled out, Smith saw eight carries for 61 yards last weekend against the 49ers. Smith and the Cowboys take on the Red Skins this Sunday. If Smith continues to get more work than McFadden and Morris, he might be the running back to pick up while Elliot is suspended for presumably from weeks 9-14. Take a chance and pick Smith up now for a buck.

Latavius Murray- RB- Vikings
Many fantasy owners dropped former Raider Latavius Murray at the beginning of the season when Dalvin Cook looked like he was the clear number one running back in Minnesota. When Cook was put on IR, Jerick McKinnon was used a lot more than Murray in weeks five and six. Last week against the Ravens, Murray looked like his old self once again recording 18 rushes for 113 yards and a touchdown. Murray battled an injury at the beginning of season that held him back, but it looks like he might be feeling a lot better. McKinnon and Murray will share the load going forward, but fantasy owners should pick up Murray now for a buck before he has another good game and gets too expensive.
