C.J. Beathard- QB- 49ers

Considering Nick Mullens' poor performance in the fourth quarter last week against the Eagles, and that starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo might be out another week, fantasy owners might want to pick up C.J. Beathard for week 5. Beathard replaced Mullens late in the fourth on Sunday night and almost led San Francisco to a comeback win against Philadelphia. The 49ers face the Dolphins Sunday, whose defense has given up the fifth most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Fantasy owners will have to wait to see Garoppolo's availability, but Beathard might be the free agent pick up of the week if he gets the nod Sunday. Get him for a buck now.

Tim Patrick-WR-Broncos

With Courtland Sutton out for the season, Tim Patrick is making a case for fantasy owners to put him on their roster. Last week against the Jets, he recorded six receptions for 113 yards and a score. Patrick scored a touchdown in two consecutive games. K.J. Hamler and Noah Fant were knocked out of the game last week, which most likely helped Patrick receive more targets. But Patrick should be the starting wide receiver next to Jerry Juedy this week when the Broncos face the Patriots. The Patriots defense has surprisingly given up the ninth most fantasy points to wide receivers this season, though two of their games were against Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes. Patrick should see plenty of targets this weekend, and you should be able to get him for a buck.

Chase Edmonds- RB- Cardinals

While Kenyan Drake continues to struggle for the Cardinals, Chase Edmonds might be a player fantasy owner should target in free agency. Last week, Edmonds didn't do much in the rushing game as he only recorded four carries for 16 yards, but he had five reception for 24 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals face the Jets this weekend, whose defense has allowed the sixth most fantasy points to running backs this season. If Drake continues to struggle early in the game against the Jets, expect Edmonds to see a bunch of playing time.

Damiere Byrd- WR- Patriots

Fantasy owners might want to consider picking up and starting Patriots wide receiver Damiere Byrd this week if they have a player on a bye. On Monday night against the Chiefs, he had five receptions for 80 yards and a team high 10 targets. He could be a viable option considering the Patriots are playing the Broncos, whose defense has given up the sixth most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Byrd isn't a player to start every week, and he might not even make it past one game on a your roster, but he could be worth a start in week 5. Pick him up for a buck today.

Damien Harris- RB- Patriots

Patriots running back Damien Harris was getting a ton of praise throughout training camp and was expected to be the starter until an injury knocked him out of the first couple games. On Monday night against the Chiefs, he recorded 17 carries for 100 yards. Harris might be worth more than a dollar, but he could go under the radar in this week's free agency. You may be able to get him for a buck.

Tyler Kroft- TE- Bills

The former Cincinnati Bengal, Tyler Kroft, may not be a player to hold on your roster every week, but he has a favorable matchup in week five when the Bills face the Titans, whose defense has given up the ninth most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Bills' tight ends aren't getting a ton of targets this season, but Kroft has most production of all the tight ends on the roster heading into week 5. This is my VERY deep sleeper pick for this week's matchup. So if you are desperate you can easily get Kroft for a buck.
