Zay Jones- WR- Bills

The second year player out of East Carolina, Zay Jones, had a productive game against the Patriots on Monday night. He recorded six receptions for 55 yards on a windy night in Buffalo. Jones’s targets seem to be on the rise in the last three weeks, having no-less than five since week 6. The Bills face the Bears on Sunday, whose defense has given up the 8th most fantasy points to wide outs this year. I would expect the Bears to have a large halftime lead, which could bode well for Jones in garbage time. Pick up and start Jones if you have a wide receiver on a bye week.

Jakeem Grant- WR- Dolphins

With Albert Wilson on the IR before the game last Sunday, wide out Jakeem Grant saw his most targets this season with eight in a loss against the Texans. As long as Kenny Stills remains out of the lineup with an injury, Grant could be a good free agent to pick up and start this week. The Dolphins face the Jets this Sunday, whose defense has given up the 7th most fantasy points to wide receivers this year. So far on the season, Grant has 20 receptions for 252 yards and two scores. I would expect his numbers to trend upward after this week’s matchup with the Jets. Pick up and start Grant as sleeper for a buck.

David Moore- WR- Seahawks

Seahawks wide receiver David Moore is seeing his stock rise after the last three games. Moore has 11 receptions for 221 yards and four scores in the last four matchups. Moore was a seventh round pick in the 2017 draft out of East Central. He is slowly becoming one of Russel Wilson’s favorite targets, and should be considered for a spot on fantasy rosters in dynasty and keeper leagues. The Seahawks face the Chargers this week, whose defense has been average against the pass attack this season. Pick up start Moore for a buck this week.

Jalen Richard- RB- Raiders

After a costly fumble by Doug Martin against the Colts last week, expect Jalen Richard to get the majority of the snaps this week for the Raiders. Richard should be picked up in PPR leagues, but he should also be considered heavily in standard leagues. Last week against the Colts, Richard had eight receptions for 50 yards. The Raiders face the 49ers on Thursday night, whose defense has given up the 11th most fantasy points to running backs. Richard has recorded five games this year with over 10 points in full PPR leagues and should be owned this week for a buck.

Jacquizz Rodgers- RB- Buccaneers

Tampa Bay running back Ronald Jones III is expected to miss the next couple weeks, which will give former Falcons running back Jaquizz Rodgers extra snaps. Last week against the Bengals, Rodgers had four catches for 25 yards. Tampa Bay faces the Panthers’ tough run defense this week, but Rodgers might be a good pick-up and play in full PPR leagues if Ryan Fitzpatrick needs to check down to his running back. Peyton Barber is expected to get the majority of the snaps, but Rodgers might get some extra opportunities this Sunday. Pick him up for a buck.

Baker Mayfield- QB- Browns

Even though the Browns franchise looks to be in complete disarray, Baker Mayfield might be a good start at quarterback this week against the Chiefs. Kansas City has given up the 2nd most passing yards and ranks 23rd in points allowed through eight weeks. The Chiefs’ defense has given up the 7th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this year. I wouldn’t expect the Browns to win this game, but I do expect Mayfield to have plenty of opportunities to put points on the board in garbage time. Pick up and start Mayfield if you have a quarterback on a bye week.

Elijah McGuire- RB- Jets

While Jets running back Elijah McGuire isn’t able to be activated until next week, he is finally eligible to return to practice after spending all season on the IR due to a foot injury. McGuire is an interesting free agent option after seeing some success last year. In 2017, he rushed 88 times for 315 yards and a score, and he caught 17 receptions for 177 yards and a touchdown. If Bilal Powell is still dealing with a neck injury after this week, McGuire could see some action behind Isaiah Crowell. McGuire is definitely worth taking a look at in keeper and dynasty leagues. You can get him for a buck this week.
