Dollar Free Agents 2016 Week 5

By Matthew Cherrin
Matthew Cherrin Dontrelle Inman- WR- Chargers
Many people thought Travis Benjamin would be the player to replace injured wide receiver Keenan Allen a couple weeks ago, but Dontrelle Inman looked to be the real replacement after last Sunday against the Saints. Inman had seven receptions for 120 yards and touchdown last week. I like Inman a lot in week 5 since the Chargers play the Raiders this weekend. The Raiders defense has given up the most fantasy points to wide receivers this year. Inman is a borderline flex start in PPR leagues this week, and you can get him for a buck.

Danny Amendola- WR- Patriots
With Tom Brady returning to action this Sunday against the Browns, fantasy owners might want to consider picking up Danny Amendola this week. Amendola had a couple decent weeks in the first two games of the season when the Patriots quarterback was Jimmy Garopollo. With Tom Brady back, all wide receivers and tight ends will see an increase in targets, completions, and touchdowns. Amendola has a good chance to being one those recipients on the Patriots offense. He’s a better pick up in PPR leagues, and you can get him for a buck this week.

Paxton Lynch- QB- Broncos
Fantasy owners need to be closely looking at Paxton Lynch this weekend. Lynch played at a high level last weekend against the Bucs after Trevor Siemen left the game with a shoulder injury. He threw for 170 yards and a touchdown while completing 14 out 24 pass attempts. The Falcons have given up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks so far in 2016. The Broncos offensive weapons are a dream for quarterbacks and the offensive line in Denver is one of the best. Lynch needs to be picked up in all keeper and dynasty leagues.

Hunter Henry- TE- Chargers
Antonio Gates owners should pick up Hunter Henry this week for a buck. The rookie tight end had an impressive game last week against the Saints when he recorded four receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. The Chargers coaching staff is impressed with Henry so far and he could wind up being Gates replacement when he decides to retire. The Raiders rank dead last in yards given up through the air. There’s still a chance Gates doesn’t suit up this weekend, and you can get Henry for a buck.

Josh Ferguson- RB- Colts
Since the Colts always seem to be in comeback mode, fantasy owners might want to consider picking up Josh Ferguson, who seems to be the third down back in Indy. Ferguson isn’t going to run the ball much, but he will get a ton of catches. So far on the season, Ferguson has 17 receptions for 117 yards. Ferguson had 10 targets last week against the Jaguars. The Colts are always playing from behind, which should bode well for Ferguson’s fantasy stats. He’s not worth picking up unless you are in a PPR league, but you can get him for a buck this week.

John Kuhn- RB- Saints
Fantasy owners might want to start thinking about picking up John Kuhn. So far this season, Kun has three rushing touchdowns and one receptions touchdown. Kuhn isn’t a player that owners should look to first, but if your team is in desperate need of a running back, Kuhn at least knows how to find the end zone. You can probably pick him up all year for a buck, so look to him depending on the defensive matchup.
