QB's

Dak Prescott vs. Giants ($5,000) The harsh reality is that Dak Prescott is a rookie, and he will certainly be a work in progress for the Cowboys. The good news is that he is minimum salary week one on Draft Kings, which allows us to spend frivolously elsewhere. Prescott looked terrific in the preseason completing 78% of his passes for 454 yards, five touchdowns, zero interceptions, and an incredible 137.8 quarterback passer rating in August. Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, Ezekiel Elliot, and arguably the NFL's best offensive line will all be there to help protect their rookie QB against the NFC East foe New York Giants. If his maiden voyage at home is bumpy, at least we didn't break the bank paying for him this week. He should be able to hit value.
Carson Wentz vs. Browns ($5,000) Hear me out for just a second. The Browns finished last in total defense last season (32nd). They havent created a ton of sacks, and they are on the road week one. They do have the luxury of facing a rookie quarterback in Carson Wentz but even Wentz could perform decently against this unit. The Browns passed on Wentz in the draft and there may be a bit of some revenge here. The bottom line is, Wentz is the minimum price and at home. I view Wentz as a deep contrarian, tournament play that next to no one will own.
Bonus Bargain: Brock Osweiler vs. Bears ($6,300)

Running Backs

Spencer Ware vs. Chargers ($4,400) When we hear the word 'Chalk' in DFS, it means the player will be a popular play that day, or week. Without Jamaal Charles, the Chiefs may give Spencer Ware 20-25 touches Sunday. The Chargers allowed over 125 yards per game on the ground last season. Not only is Ware a bruiser he has terrific vision and patience. We don't see many run downhill anymore so it'll be nice to see Ware eat often Sunday. I will own him in the majority of my lineups week one.
James White @ Cardinals ($3,600) Attempting to figure out the running back situation in New England is similar to trying to figure out the weather. It changes, often. Initially James White was drafted to replace Shane Vereen and he was able to haul in 40 receptions after Dion Lewis was injured a season ago. Lewis is going to be out a while and I can envision White being used a ton in the passing game. His price point this week screams value. I also believe that LeGarrette Blount at $3,700 could be a beautiful pivot from White. Blount is not used in the passing game as White, and obviously we want catches on Draft Kings.
Bonus Bargain: C.J Prosise vs. Dolphins ($3,900)

Wide Receivers

Tajae Sharpe vs. Minnesota ($3,000) Oh baby! A 3k starting wideout week one! Sharpe is projected to start on the outside opposite of Rishard Matthews. The tall rookie from Umass could lead the Titans wideouts in targets this season. Marcus Mariota has raved about him this summer and that is clearly something fantasy players take an interest in. The beauty about a minimum price starter is the ability to pay a premium in several other spots. He is a rookie and we need to temper expectations but it is hard to over look the 12 targets and 163 yards he had in the preseason.
Jermaine Kearse vs. Dolphins ($3,500) The Seahawks extended Kearse in the offseason which says one thing, they like him. He is the number two wideout on the depth chart for a reason. In the playoffs last season against the Panthers, Kearse had 11 receptions, on 15 targets, for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Why wouldn't I like him at home week one in a game that Vegas has as a blow out against Miami? Kearse has the upside to win someone a GPP this week at a near minimum salary.
Bonus Bargain: Will Fuller vs. Bears ($3,700)

Tight End

Clive Walford @ New Orleans ($3,000) I am really pushing it I guess here and you can call it a hunch, I suppose. While I like numerous tight ends week 1 in the 3k range, Walford can be a fantastic tournament play on the road against an atrocious Saints defense. People will have a ton of exposure to this game but I feel like Walford will be forgotten about. The opportunity and upside are both there, in a game that projects to be a track meet.
Dwayne Allen vs. Lions ($3,200) Out goes Coby Fleener to New Orleans, in comes more red zone opportunities for the seemingly always injured Dwayne Allen. The good new is, Allen is supposedly healthy, and I see no reason why he cant have a touchdown Sunday in a game that has the second highest projected point total (50.5). Many DFS players will target this game and similar to Walford, Allen could be overlooked. The Colts do not have a ton of depth behind Allen at tight end, lets see if he can stay healthy and earn that four-year extension.
Bonus Bargain: Martellus Bennett @ Arizona ($3,400)

Team Defense/Special Teams

Titans vs. Vikings ($2,600) I love defenses at home. I also love defenses at home playing a quarterback names Shaun Hill. I expect an aggressive Titans defense to pounce Sunday. The young and talented front seven could create a bunch of problems.
Raiders @ Saints ($2,400) I said to a young lady in a former life at a bar. "Call me crazy" but "Just call me". The Saints/Raiders game has the highest point total of the week. Plenty of opportunities to the Raiders young and talented defense to cause problems for Drews Brees. The loss of Mario Edwards hurts but they are still a talented unit.
