Jeff Wilson Jr.- RB- 49ers

After Matt Breida left last week’s game against the Seahawks, Jeff Wilson Jr. got the majority of the carries for the rest of the game. Wilson recorded 15 attempts for 61 yards, and had eight catches for 73 yards in the loss to Seattle. This week the 49ers play the Broncos, whose defense have given up the 16th most fantasy points to running backs this season. Breida is out of the lineup this week, so if you are in desperate need of a running back, Wilson could be the guy to pick up and start for a buck.

Cory Clement- RB- Eagles

Even though Eagles’ running back Josh Adams is the starter, fantasy owners might want to consider picking up Corey Clement this week. In the last two weeks, Clement has recorded ten carries for 72 yards and five receptions for 78 yards. The Eagles face a tough Dallas defense this week, but Clement could the check-down running back to rack up receptions against an over anxious defense. Pick up Clement this week for a buck.

Dante Pettis- WR- 49ers

Another 49ers player that should be considered in this week’s free agency is wide receiver Dante Pettis. Last week against the Seahawks, Pettis recorded five receptions for 129 yards and two touchdowns. The week before against the Buccaneers, Pettis had four receptions for 129 yards and one score. Pettis seems to be the only healthy and competent wide receiver left on the 49ers depth chart. The Broncos have given up the 17th most fantasy points to wide outs this season. Pettis might be someone worth starting this week. Pick him up for a buck.

DeSean Hamilton- WR- Broncos

With the news that wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders suffered a torn ACL in practice on Wednesday, DeSean Hamilton might be someone worth picking up for a buck this season. He hasn’t seen much playing time this year, but with the departure of Demaryius Thomas, and now the injury to Sanders, he might be the number two wide out in Denver behind rookie wide receiver Courtland Sutton. Tim Patrick is also someone to watch this week, but it may be worth spending a dollar on Hamilton just in case he is number two on the depth chart.

Ian Thomas- TE- Panthers

Another player suffering a season ending injury that may lead to more playing time this week is Ian Thomas. After Greg Olsen left last week’s game against the Buccaneers, Thomas came in a recorded five receptions for 46 yards. This week, the Panthers face the Browns, whose defense has given up the 7th most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Pick up Thomas this week if you need a starting tight end.

Steven Ridley- RB- Steelers

While Jaylen Samuels seems to be the hot pick up this week after the report that James Conner won’t start, Pittsburgh running back Steven Ridley might be someone else to consider if your fantasy roster is lacking running back depth. Samuels will get the start, but Ridley could see a good amount of carries in a running-back-by-committee approach. The Steelers face the Raiders this week, whose defense has given up the 10th most fantasy points to running backs this season. If the Steelers go up big, Ridley might see a lot more touches. Pick up Ridley this week for a buck.
