Dollar Free Agents 2016 Week 11

By Matthew Cherrin
Matthew Cherrin Vernon Davis- TE- Red Skins
Even when Jordan Reed plays for Washington, Vernon Davis has proven in the last few weeks that he’s still worth a start on your fantasy team. In his last four games, Davis has 19 receptions for 288 yards and two scores. Last week against the Vikings, Davis recorded three catches for 66 yards and a score. The former 49er has been able to gain a little trust from quarterback Kirk Cousins. This week the Red Skins face off against the Packers defense. The Packers have given up the 7th most points to opposing tight ends this year. Pick up Davis and start him this week if you have a tight end on a bye week.

Jared Goff- QB- Rams
The 2016 first pick overall has finally received the nod to start for the Rams this weekend against the Dolphins. LA coach Jeff Fisher has repeatedly told the media that Goff hasn’t been ready to play this season, which makes it strange that he decided in week 11 that he finally is ready to start. While the Dolphins have given up a ton of fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season, Goff is a player that you wouldn’t want to start this week. Instead, he’s worth stashing on your bench in keeper and dynasty leagues. You might want to pick him up for a dollar now and see how his first audition turns out Sunday.

Martavis Bryant- WR- Steelers
While suspended for the entire 2016 season, fantasy owners in dynasty or keeper leagues might want to start thinking about next year, and Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant would be great pickup heading into the 2017 season. In this first two season, Bryant has 14 touchdowns in 21 total games. He’s also averaged 17.3 yards per catch. Many wide outs on the Steelers has blown opportunities to become the consistent number two option for Ben Roethlisberger, but Markus Wheaton can’t stay healthy, Sammy Coats has been inconsistent, and Eli Rogers has suffered from injury, even though he looks to be the best option of the three. Bryant will still be the number wide out in Pittsburg nest season and you might be able to pick him up this year and reap the benefits in 2017.

Breshad Perriman- WR- Ravens
After sitting out the 2015 season and starting the 2016 season relatively slow, former first round pick Breshad Perriman had his first touchdown for his career last week against the Browns. Last week on Thursday night, he recorded three receptions for 64 yards and a score. Even if he doesn’t put up the best fantasy numbers for the rest of the season, owners in keeper and dynasty leagues should pick him up this year for a dollar. It’s a good sign that he hasn’t missed a game yet for the Ravens this season, and he might still be working off a little rust after sitting out all of 2015. Pick him up this year while he’s cheap.

Christine Michael- RB- Packers
If any fantasy owners dropped Christine Michael on Tuesday, you might want to consider picking him up for a dollar. The Packers claimed Michael off waivers to replace Don Jackson who was placed on Injured Reserve earlier today. While Michael is unlikely to see much playing time until he learns the playbook, the Packers have been devastated with injuries this year and it’s not a far-fetched idea that Michael could see some playing time in the near future. Michael has produced decent numbers for fantasy owners this season. While on Seattle this year, ha has 469 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. Pick up Michael this week for a buck if someone was crazy enough to drop him.
