Yahoo Sports provides weekly DFS and an overall Yahoo Cup for the NFL season. We’ll try and find players who will outperform their value and give you flexibility with your lineups. At the end we’ll take a look at week seven for players to stream or even pick up ahead of this week’s waiver claims.

Quarterbacks

Tom Brady – New England – $34

GB at NE -5.5, O/U 56.5
Brady checks in as QB7 in price this weekend. Buffalo kept Brady from throwing a touchdown pass on Monday night and that will not be the case Sunday night. In the absence of Sony Michel the Patriots gave Cordarrelle Patterson some rushing attempts out of the backfield, but the key was the quick passing game. With the trio of Patrick Mahomes, Jared Goff and Cam Newton sitting at $39, Brady looks very good this weekend.

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Tampa Bay – $29

TB at CAR -6.5, 55
Just let it rip. That’s what you get with Fitzmagic, which is best used in limited doses. As road dogs against a rapidly improving Panthers team, the Bucs’ will lean on Fitzpatrick to keep them in this game.

Running Backs

Kareem Hunt – Kansas City – $33

KC -8.5 at CLE, 52
When we go with a ‘stud’ we are hoping for a wow week. Hunt has that ability this weekend after James Conner posted a 24-146-2 rushing line last weekend. Tyreek Hill left last week with a groin injury and they are sizable road favorites. As we monitor Hill’s status, Hunt could become the focal point as Mahomes does what we expect and Hunt cashes in and salts away the game.

Latavius Murray – Minnesota – $22

DET at MIN -5, 49
Murray has found the end zone four times the last three weeks. Despite rushing totals of 69 and 56 yards the last two weeks, the Vikings running back is in a prime position to capitalize on one more week without Dalvin Cook in the backfield. Detroit gave up 176 yards rushing last week to Seattle and has the second worst per-game average defensively at 144.6. Kirk Cousins hasn’t attempted less than 34 passes in a game, but we could see a burst similar to Murray’s game against Arizona, 24-155-1.

Tarik Cohen – Chicago – $17

CHI -10 at BUF, 37.5
The volume wasn’t there against the Jets because the Bears controlled the game thanks to 70-yard TD reception from Cohen. His price hasn’t moved and you know that the ability and opportunity is there in this offense.

Aaron Jones – Green Bay – $17

Jones’ 12 carries against the Rams tripled Jamaal Williams (4). Ty Montgomery is now in Baltimore so it finally feels like there is a little clarity with this backfield. The only question is how much will Mike McCarthy commit to the run?

Wide Receivers

Keenan Allen – L.A. Chargers – $27

LAC at SEA -1, 48
As we watch Mike and Tyrell Williams scored touchdowns, eight between the two, Allen sits with one. The teams’ target and reception leader needs to start scoring since his yardage totals are not making up for it, (see Jones, Julio), time for positive regression.

Julian Eldelman – New England – $21

With the flare of Josh Gordon and lore of Rob Gronkowski the best bet is still Eldelman. He produced his first 100 yard game against the Bills and if Sony Michel remains out, Eldelman and James White are set to see another large target share this weekend.

Chris Godwin – Tampa Bay – $15

Godwin produced his best games with Fitzpatrick under center as he scored in three straight games to start the season.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling – Green Bay – $11

Geronimo Allison suffered a groin injury according to reports after Thursday’s practice. Valdes-Scantling has stepped up the last three weeks with two touchdowns and 12 receptions for 261 yards. The decision would be easier to use MVS as a dart throw if we find out more on Allison.

Jermain Kearse – New York Jets – $10

NYJ at MIA -3, 43.5
After catching three of 10 targets for 30 yards against Chicago, Kearse sets up to be a target monster again this weekend. He might be there only healthy receiver this weekend and if you haven’t noticed, I’m on a WR3 binge.

Tight Ends

Jordan Reed – Washington – $14

ATL at WAS -1.5, 48
Last week Reed saw the most targets (12) and caught the most passes (7) to this point with Alex Smith at QB. Even with the run first approach that has made Washington a competitive game, I want to take a shot against the Falcons defense in the air. Reed is your best option if you don’t want to invest over $20 on a TE.

Chris Herndon – New York Jets – $10

Herndon is not seeing targets, but somehow he has scored in three straight games. With all the injuries the target share will rise and punt city here we come.

Week 10 Sneak Peek

Week 10 byes: Minnesota, Houston, Baltimore and Denver

Looks to see who is playing the Raiders, it’s the Chargers, picks up defense for next week.

The Browns host Atlanta and this weekend is our first look at the interim coaching staff. Do they let Baker Mayfield go wild? Does David Njoku bounce back? Duke Johnson and Antonio Callaway become filler?

The Philadelphia running game is a mess However, in season long we need players and sometimes our teams are more of a mess. Josh Adams led the Eagles backfield in carrier last week; does he come out of the bye with a bigger role?
