Dollar Free Agents 2016 Week 10

By Matthew Cherrin
Matthew Cherrin Marqise Lee- WR- Jaguars
The former USC wide receiver Marqise Lee might be a player fantasy owners should consider picking up this week for a dollar. With wide out Allen Hurns in concussion protocol this week, Lee might see a few more targets come his way on Sunday. So far on the season, Lee has 34 receptions for 442 yards, and in the last four games, Lee recorded 18 receptions for 273 yards. Lee already has more yards this season in eight games than he had in either of his first two season. He might be worth stashing on your bench in PPR leagues. Get him this week for a buck.

Kendall Wright- WR- Titans
With the emergence of Marcus Mariota in the last four games, Kendall Wright has also reemerged as a valuable fantasy football wide receiver for fantasy owners. In his last four games, Wright has averaged 73 yards per game. He seems to be healthy finally, after playing in only 10 games last season. Wide receivers are often only as good as their quarterback allows them to be, and with Mariota stepping up his last few weeks, Wright is obviously benefiting. If you have a wide out on a bye week, Wright might be someone you want to pick up and start against a Packers defense that has given up 14 touchdowns through the air.

Jay Cutler- QB- Bears
After being the starter at the beginning of the season and then being benched, Jay Cutler has found himself as the starter once again and with a favorable fantasy matchup this week as the Bears face Tampa Bay. Cutler started and played great against Minnesota’s defense on Monday night in Week 8. He threw for 20 completions, 252 yards and a score. This week Cutler faces Tampa Bay’s pass defense that has given up the fourth most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Not only is Cutler a good start this week, but his next four games are against teams with pass defenses that rank in the bottom half of the league (Giants, Titans, 49ers, Lions). Pick him up this week for a buck and utilize him for the rest of the 2016 season.

Ronnie Hillman- RB- Vikings
The Vikings are in desperate need of a play-maker on the team, and former Broncos’ Ronnie Hillman might be their best chance out of the backfield. After being signed a couple weeks back, Hillman looks like he’s starting to get conformable enough with the offense to get more playing time. Last week against the Lions, Hillman had seven rushes for 30 yards, and added 32 yards receiving from his lone target. The Vikings play Washington this week, which has a defense that has given up 12 touchdowns on the ground. If you need a running back in week 10, Hillman is a sleeper you can get for a buck.

Juwan Thompson- RB- Broncos
I wrote about Kapri Bibbs for the Broncos last week, so Biibs should already be on fantasy owners’ radar if you have Devonte Booker. Backing up Bibbs is Juwan Thompson, who could see some carries after being promoted from the practice squad two weeks ago. With the way things have been going for the Broncos’ running backs this year, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Thompson ending up getting the most carries in week 10 against the Saints. The Broncos face one of the worst rush defenses in the league. The Saints have given up second most fantasy points to running backs this years and have given up 12 touchdowns on the ground. If you have depth on your team or if you are in desperate need of a running back, you might want to grab Thompson this week for a buck.

Lance Kendricks- TE- Rams
Since week 6, Lance Kendricks has been a huge part of the Rams’ offense. In his last three games, Kendricks has 29 targets, and he has recorded 19 receptions for 179 yards and one score. The Rams face the Jets this Sunday, whose defense ranks 27th in passing yards given up so far in 2016. If you’re an owner who has a tight end on a bye week, Kendricks might be the player you want to pick up for a dollar and start n week 10.
