WEEK 12 INJURY REPORT

Baker Mayfield – Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield returned after suffering an ankle injury early in the first quarter vs the Colts.

Aiden O’Connell – Raiders QB Aiden O’Connell was taken to the medical tent after suffering an injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s game vs the Chiefs.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson – Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson suffered a concussion during the second half of Sunday’s game. P.J. Walker entered the game in relief.

RUNNING BACKS

Travis Etienne, Jr. – Jaguars RB Travis Etienne, Jr. was able to return to the game after suffering a chest injury.

Tyjae Spears – Titans backup RB Tyjae Spears returned after briefly exiting Sunday’s game.

Javonte Williams – Broncos RB Javonte Williams returned to the game after briefly exiting due to a neck injury.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Calvin Austin – Steelers WR Calvin Austin could not return after suffering an ankle injury.

Amari Cooper – Browns WR Amari Cooper left Sunday’s game during the third quarter with a rib injury.

Demario Douglas – Patriots WR Demario Douglas was ruled out with a head injury and could not return.

Chris Olave – Saints WR Chris Olave was ruled out of Sunday’s game due to suffering a concussion.

Rashid Shaheed – Saints WR Rashid Shaheed could not return after injuring his thigh in Sunday’s loss vs the Saints.

Laviska Shenault, Jr. – Shenault could not finish Sunday’s game due to an ankle injury

TIGHT ENDS

Juwan Johnson – Saints TE Juwan Johnson returned to the game after briefly exiting vs the Falcons.

WEEK 13 WAIVER WIRE

QUARTERBACKS

Jordan Love – Love was mentioned in this section last week, and he delivered with 268 passing yards and three touchdowns, while adding 39 rushing yards: totaling 26.62 fantasy points. Love remains below 50% rostered in NFL Fantasy leagues, so we are going to go back to the well this week. Love gets an enticing matchup vs KC next week, a game where the Packers will need to score some points to keep up with the Chiefs.

Also consider:

Baker Mayfield

RUNNING BACKS

Ty Chandler – Over the last two weeks, Ty Chandler has been having solid fantasy performances. In week 10, Chandler had 45 yards and a touchdown, and he followed that up with 73 rushing yards and 37 receiving yards. This production relates directly to the status of Alexander Mattison, who will play on Monday night, but if Mattison were to re-aggravate his injury, Chandler would be an intriguing fantasy option for the playoffs.

Tyler Allgeier – The Falcons backup RB continues to see meaningful touches. At a position where there really is not a ton available this week, look at Tyler Allgeier. Allgeier had 10 carries for 64 yards on Sunday vs the Saints. He also had 10 touches in his week 10 matchup vs the Cardinals, and 14 touches vs the Vikings in week nine. The point is, he’s been seeing double-digit touches each of his last three games and that type of volume is tough to find off the waiver wire this time of the year.

Also consider:

Rico Dowdle, Roschon Johnson

WIDE RECEIVERS

Jayden Reed – An emerging weapon for the Packers is rookie Jayden Reed. He’s had five, six, and eight targets over the last three weeks. The fantasy points have followed with this volume, as Reed has scored more than double-digit fantasy points in each of his last three games. Reed should continue to see more consistent volume during this hot streak.

Odell Beckham, Jr. – Beckham scored a touchdown in two of the last three weeks, and in the other game, he had over 100 yards receiving. He’s been emerging as one of the top options in the Ravens passing game. If you’re in need of a flex-type receiver, Beckham is available in 60.1 percent of NFL Fantasy leagues.

Cedric Tillman – Several rookie receivers are being featured in this week’s article, and here is another: Cedric Tillman. Tillman hauled in four receptions for 55 yards on Sunday. This was the first real opportunity for Tillman to shine and he delivered. Tillman might be in line for more targets over the next couple of weeks, as teammate Amari Cooper left the game due to a rib injury.

A.T. Perry – This one goes out to the folks playing in deeper leagues. The Saints suffered several injuries to their receiver room on Sunday, losing both Chris Olave (Concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (Thigh) vs the Falcons. Even TE Juwan Johnson briefly exited this game due to an undisclosed injury. Let’s not forget that Michael Thomas is also on injured reserve. The Saints are literally running out of healthy receiving options, but they have a rookie who can potentially make some noise. Enter AT Perry, a sixth-round pick out of Wake Forest, is one of the only healthy players still standing for the Saints. Should Olave or Shaheed miss time, Perry might be peppered with targets out of necessity. Again, this type of play is more for deeper leagues and is a stash-and-hope play at that, but Perry should be available in virtually every fantasy league.

Also consider:

Curtis Samuel

TIGHT ENDS

Isaiah Likely – Unfortunately in week 11, we saw star TE Mark Andrews suffer a long-term injury for the Ravens. The Ravens will now turn to rookie TE Isaiah Likely, a fourth-round pick to fill the void. Likely’s production might not be as consistent as Andrews, but he is likely to have several opportunities to show what he can do for this Ravens’ offense.
